Most of these candies are actually retro. My parents used to eat them when they were kids, but it is hard nowadays to find ones like these. The Thai Tingkat is called "Pin-toh" in Thai and I have never seen candies like this one before! Now I want to try it. Thank you Dancing Bacons for another good video

What I'm writing is a reaction to plastic packaging, not your films, which I like very much. It is in the seas around the Asian countries that there is a huge problem with plastic everywhere, even in fish and animals. This is how you see your video with an extremely large amount of plastic, in all packaging. You get really pissed off at how everything has to be covered with plastic in some countries. With outer packaging, inner packaging and individual packaging. Put everything in the same paper bag instead.

Those stone candies reminded me of the rock candies on a stick I found when I was a kid. It was so fun, but the only way to 'eat' them was to suck on it for hours. It was perfect for long car rides, and only cost $1-2 USD back in the 90's.

@04:50. The packaging for the mint chewing gum is a copy of the Black Cat cigarette brand in the 1920s. And the fact that the gum is in sticks plays on the similarity as well. We used to get sweet cigarettes in the 1960s and 70s and these are the same kind of thing. At least the gum wasn't wrapped in yet more plastic! I love these videos which are fascinating, but do wonder about the huge amount of plastics used.

Yes I guessed this is the real Black cat cigarette my friend as I saw when I was a child here but it's a cigarette so it's like it's been banned so they could not make the gum looks like cigarettes anymore. Lol Now I know your age. Hehe😝

@@onalonan Yes, I do confess. I am an oldie. 😊 That's why I love these videos so much. I travelled a lot when I was young and I miss it. Now I can travel through the eyes of lovely people on YT who share their adventures and experiences. I will never be able to buy sweets in Thailand....but I can watch others do it!
