for every time someone loses in 7 moves, someone else won in 7 moves.

edit: What he said, is still necessarily true. my comment explains why despite this the number of people who won a game in 7 moves may be different from the number of people who lost in 7 moves. All this because I answered with levy's initial question "how many of you..." in mind Not necessarily a person might lose or win a game in 7 moves against several people, maybe all millions of people that lost a game in 7 moves were playing against the gm in the video (not)

I’m 1700 and I stopped studying months ago I just kept playing openings until I am familiar with them which makes me strong in the opening, when I was learning chess I studied tactics over and over on Chessable until I’m sick of them, I couldn’t tell when last I did that but it does pay off, as for endgame I had no real knowledge of this and it cost me a lot of my games but I have a opening for black which is dubious and always put me at a disadvantage but I still play it and it takes me to the end a lot which made me gain a lot of experience. Still my favorite part of the game is the middle game then the opening and endgame but I do enjoy an opening when my opponent doesn’t know what he’s doing. Edit - also my account started at 400 and I got scholars mate a lot until I was at 199 elo I got fed up of losing the game with that one trick which made me turn to KZread to deepen my understanding of chess

whenever i see something like this, i get some hope. and then i remember that here, black blunders, but is at least putting thought into his moves and at least has some ideas behind it. meanwhile when i blunder on move 7 its because my memory is worse than a goldfish's and i totally forget about the queen and bishop staring at my undefended f pawn
