Should make it in nodejs for simplicity, oauth2/auth included, api versioning, have diagrams showing the relationships between clients server and db maybe.. The whole shebang, write most of the code open source and don't write it live, rather explain it in order you might build it

There are so many factors is hard to teach, it’s sort of like drawing, you just have to practice and you’ll get better at figuring it out :) personally I like the stripe api most

What are you thinking now with this app?

In 2023 the "public apis" section so it's no longer available. There is an "API Building" section but that is not the api's themselves. So frustating. I'm having a real hard time finding a simple news api that will work everyday with sufficient calls and object properties ie: includes images (a lot of them don't). I have found several but either they don't have enough calls (which then you have to pay like £24.99 if you want enough to test in development) basically the free plans are not going to be enough because you're going to be doing a lot of testing. It's very clever how they've done it but extremely frustrating and not very accommodating for new up and coming developers.

It's now its own site with a full-page sponsors section as soon as you open it, a vomit of recently added one-off random APIs when you scroll down, and a massive sprawl of hyper-specific categories on the side. No way to filter anything based on any sort of reliability, reputation or quality. Kind of to be expected with these sorts of gimmicky new websites, very low lifespan in general, usually scheduled to nosedive in quality for the sake of profit, aka textbook enshittification

@@aqibishaq885 you need to read the documentation of each one. Always read the documentation, it doesn’t just tell you how to use the API, but also the limitations of it, for example some APIs are free as long as you don’t use it in a commercial project. In my experience, most APIs give you enough free requests per day to create learning projects.
