There should be a plastic cap that screws down on the agitator post.

There was it stripped out.But I have since fixed it the cap is back on there now.Thanks for commenting

The blades of the agitator must be large because it spins the clothes quickly despite the low speed of the agitator.

Actually its not as slow as it may seem on video.The blades are not really big.They grow larger towards bottom of the agitator.Thanks for commenting.

@@arkansastrash320 well that washer washes way way better than the high-efficiency crap these days the today's high efficiency washers are nothing but garbage these days I rather have a wringer washer instead of the high-efficiency Nonsense washers.

@@caseyleeoliver9335 I was fortunate to find a 1973 Speed Queen wringer washer! it's in good working order, just had to replace the casters and now we have it on a appliance dolly made for rolling around fridges, washers...it works perfectly....This washer cleans SOOOOOO much better than my $1,000 front load Maytag! I only hope it holds up for a long time. I grew up using the same washer and I make sure the rollers are release, dried off and the tub is cleaned and dry after every use.

@@caseyleeoliver9335 What's the soap you're using? I make my own liquid detergent...6 months supply not even $10! It's better than Tide.

@@alessandriaj7265 well I use Tide liquid and sometimes I use different detergents. But anyway I rather have a wringer washing machine instead of high-efficiency washers I had five of them and I Nothing but trouble with them because they don't fill enough water for one thing and they don't knows agitate the clothes good and for some reason the Agitators of these high-efficiency washers for the likes of me I do I don't think they are Agitators I think what they are is some kind of a rub board type of Agitator on these high efficiency washers and I think what they are supposed to do is scrub your clothes instead of washing them so I'm assuming that they are clothes scrubber Agitator just like on a rub board so that's just my opinion but I could be wrong so I don't know but you see it does alright on small loads but if you try to wash big loads it doesn't do good at all because it doesn't have No rollover at all but in this wringer that you see here has a lot of rotation that's what you want so I would forget about these foolish high-efficiency washers but however Not all high efficiency washers are Not bad but I prefer this wringer washer any day so I think you have made a smart choice and a wise decision.
