    I love making short story videos, glad you like them too! The only drawback is that I have to write them myself or have them written especially for me, as for copyright reasons, as far as I know, I can't use published works unless they are in the public domain. I don't think Les Fables de La Fontaine are in the public domain. I'll have to look into it. I loved those as a kid, so would be great to be able to use them!

    @@Frencheezi I looked for a wonderful video of Le petit prince recently and it seems that it's been taken down by a copyright strike for using the original line drawings. Inferior versions are available. It's so sad if voracious capitalism impedes the passing on of the best stuff. I could write a mediocre short story?

    Yes, I'm really glad to be back!! :) I've really missed being on here. I have a British keyboard. I use a Mac as I find it's better when you regularly use more than one language. I've always found it much easier to type accents on a Mac than a Windows computer, as it's more intuitive / more logical. With windows you have to remember individual codes for each accented letter, this is not so with a Mac. Which operating system do you use so I can help you further?

I skim read it first. Now reading it more carefully. There is a fabulous video by Barbara O'Neill on You Tube called Child nutrition. It is a comprehensive video. Does go on a while. Lovely to see you back Cindy. You've not aged a bit, still have that beautiful smile.

    Bonjour! I’m have just started to attempt to learn French. I’m struggling to learn the difference/when to use for example parle/parles, anglais/anglaise? Can you help me understand the difference?

  • @Frencheezi

    @Frencheezi

    3 жыл бұрын

    Bonjour Kelsey. 'parle' and 'parles' are the conjugated forms of the verb 'parler'. Je parle, tu parles, il parle, nous parlons, vous parlez, il parlent. So they're the 'je' and 'tu' forms respectively. If you're referring to the English language, you need to use 'anglais'. Parlez-vous anglais? On the other hand, if you're referring to the nationality, you'll use 'anglais' if the English person or thing is masculine, and 'anglaise' if feminine. Il est anglais. Elle est anglaise. Hope this helps 🙂

    After 9 months O.o glad you came back and hope you and your baby are doing well! I knew all these verbs ! but I was wondering.. what's the difference between savoir and connaître? Also.. why did you use 'ce que' instead of using 'que'(that) like you did in "je dis que tu es bête" anyways ( how do I say this word in french? :p ) merci! j'attend la prochaine vidéo

  • @Frencheezi

    @Frencheezi

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes, little Isla keeps me busy but is a delight and doing well ☺️ I'll have to make a video regarding savoir vs connaître. It's a very common question which would require a lesson all of its own to give a proper answer. As for "que" vs "ce que"... "que" in this context means "that", technically "Je dis que tu es bête" word for word translates to "I'm saying that you're silly." "That" is usually omitted in English, but "que" is necessary in French. "ce que" on the other hand translates to "what". e.g: Je sais ce que je veux = I know what I want. Je sais que tu veux partir = I know (that) you want to leave. I hope this makes sense.

  • @raykent3211

    @raykent3211

    Savoir is very direct, connaître less so. For a native anglophone it's a good idea to think of connaître as "know about" or "be familiar with". Do you know that apples are good for your health? Oui, je le sais. Do you know Pierre? Oui, je le connais. In clumsy English, the first is asking if you know the factual truth that apples are good for you, the second is asking whether the name Pierre rings a bell. They're different questions which English speakers usually don't distinguish.

    Hi there, I'm a bit confused. Which pdf exactly are you having issues downloading? Is it the PDF that goes along with this video (25 useful French verbs for beginners), or is it another one? Frencheezi.com is not open to the public yet and Frencheezi community is our Facebook group, so you wouldn't be able to download it from either of those places. The only way to download the PDF's is by clicking on the link in the video description. It then gets sent to your email address.
