    Been watching and catching up to a lot of your videos since returning to the game recently. They've been a great help and so is the lifeskill discord. So, thank you for that. Not that it really matters since I don't think many bother with it but at 13:34 in Illya Island there's a 2nd Lodging, 6-2 (top left), that you can pick up for one more worker. Costs 3 CP. Its quite easy to miss.

    Decent video, very well produced, but I would like to comment on few things. To keep it short: - Loggia farm is expensive in CP (there are many more cheaper nodes for grains and lodging is tight in Velia) - Toscani should be taken, since you should be aiming for Ancient Stone Chamber - fruits and vegetables are a waste of CP - investing south of Sand Grain is pretty decent, if you go for all three - Date Palm, Figs and Trace of Memory (or even mining nodes of Crescents) - no mention of Water east of Altinova (most people do not count that as a cooking material, but O'dyllita Meal does need water) - a small comment on Coconuts and Pistachio would be nice, but these are minor mats

  • @summer_rains

    Some valid points. - Loggia farm is quite expensive (did not realize it only has 1 sub-node when I was making the video), though it's close to town and gets cheap if you are taking the imp cave nodes - yeah, Toscani farm are decent nodes if you already have the connection - some vegetable nodes can be worth purely for selling to the market, e.g. the pumpkin node at Costa farm. - right, could've mentioned water. There's also the purified water vendor at sandgrain bazaar. - coconut and pistachio have no place in the current cooking meta, but yeah I could've mentioned them

    21:24 in total, it's gonna be 252 CP. can this be worked out in conjunction with mining (since it will share nodes with cooking mats)? I am a new BDO player though, I'm not sure if that would be optimal and if mining has actually any use like equipment upgrading or crafting (I dunno what stuff can be crafted yet, I'm still Lv50 atm). If not mining, what other life skills are better spent with? 21:31 👌 your contents are so amazing and very helpful! 22:15 congrats! 👏👏👏

    Mining nodes produce ores, which can be used in workshops or to make trade crates. You can fully simulate a worker using shrddr.github.io/workerman/ though that might be a bit overkill if you're just starting out with BDO.

    Great guide as always! There is a question that recently came up to me, I was preparing the mats for Valencia meals for the past weeks, and then I realised the price of the raw materials such as snake meat and lion meat are so good that it doesn’t make sense at all to cook their respective meals such as the snake stew and Hamburg. I would be earning so much more by selling the meats straight off the market. Can I ask what’s the point of cooking these meals instead of straight off buying them from the central market and package into imperial boxes?

  • @summer_rains

    @summer_rains

    11 ай бұрын

    It's true that cooking Valencia meals is less profitable compared to selling the mats after the price increase. Though with higher mastery it can still be worth, for the details I'd go to bdolytics. Also, Valencia meals are high EXP so you could see it as an investment into your cooking level to increase future profits.

    @@summer_rains ah I see. That makes sense. Unless I want to pickled vege all the way to Guru, if not I’ll indeed need high exp recipes to power level to guru before being able to submit them for profit. Thank you for the advice! One more thing, the special dish that we get while cooking the dishes in Valencia meal, what should I do with them?

    Checking BDOlytics for the best Guru meals to cook, even just buying already finished ones off the market seems to be outright printing money at my measly ~1,2k Mastery with precious little difference between Bought and Self-made. What's the catch - why would anybody make the meals instead of buying them? Is it that with high enough Mastery your bonus procs turn the time spent gathering/processing/cooking into much more profit or is it simply a choice for the pure joy of the craft?

    @@chris_hisss because that would make for a pretty shit cheatsheet/video. The high priority nodes are profitable enough to appear in a purely silver-oriented empire. if you take costa and moretti thats 6CP for around 1200 mats per day. you listed it at high. if you take barley and wheat from northern wheat plantation thats 6CP for around 1300 mats per day. you listed it at medium. second option is better even if it also produced 1200 mats like the first one, since it gives you barley which doesnt get cut in half when you process it into dough. why is that?

    You're right, it's not 100% logical and has to do with the way nodes are ranked on the workerman tool, which was the basis for my ranking. On the tool, it is assumed that you have no prior node connections and doesn't take into account that you could get e.g. the second NWP grain node for cheap if you get the first one. So realistically, Costa+Moretti and NWP should be the same priority given that you plan to pick up both grain nodes.

Let's say small normal and big. And they count for different amounts of fish similar to how it is with onions etc. . But I will not touch those nodes just because they are so damn annoying to manage.

    Humans are the optimal worker on very few nodes because they bring in less of the main resource compared to goblins/giants. The main resource makes up most of the node's value. I go over this in my video about choosing the best worker.
