I am glad I am not the only one that has looked at the dried paint on top of my paint tubes and ended up sticking it on a journal page. I also like trying things just to see what happens and I really enjoy watching your "happy accidents".

I know this video is years old, but I just came across it today. I have to say, this is the most inspirational video I have ever seen. You give me confidence to try new things. Starting a project is the hardest part for me. I can't have a full completed idea or project in my head, I have to start small and let the art grow as I'm doing it. Thank you so much for this video!!

I watched this in the early hours of the morning then couldn’t go back to sleep as I was dying to go and try these methods so after doing quite a number of them I put the video on again and created more backgrounds with you. I really love your ideas , your are always happy and so informative. Thank you so much you are becoming a favourite to watch each day in our household keep up the wonderful creative ways you share.

I use egg shells for texture as well, it is best to remove the membrane from the shell first before you crush it to prevent bacteria growth and possible smell from developing. I also found during the holidays, dollar stores and craft stores sell styrofoam mini balls. This is an awesome substitute for mini pebbles. Love your videos! This one really helps with reminding us, the viewers/students/fans, how to step out of our heads and create. 💁🏼🤓😘

Im sooooo in love with texture. I really loved this. I found something that I started using for texture, it's actually dryer sheets. Particularly a brand we have here in the US called Seventh Generation. It is the most amazing thing ever. When I discovered how wonderful they are for texture I had to go digging in my laundry rubbish can (just for dryer lint and sheets, lol) and find all the ones that I threw out!! They are all natural, so they are an unbleached piece of paper that is just wonderful with a bumpy texture on it. Anyway, thanks again! I will try most of these, especially the tea bags and the coffee and white paint! So lovely! xoxo Kerrie

These ideas are pretty outstanding. One of a kind type ideas. You magically tranform trash to chic treasures, I think you final page is stunning! The color catcher sheets for laundry are pretty. Great suggestion!!! Other ideas: use sand in old spice or seashell pieces crushed in containers to sprinkle on or in gesso or glue, used drier sheets, plastic mesh bags onions come in would be a stencil or bits glued on. Bits of an old bath poof. Old watch parts, wood shavings, melted drips from candles, pieces of tree bark even drier lint. Eggshells are easier to crush with a Mortar & Pestle. Eggshells are great for garden too. Awsome tutorial! You always bring the crafters spirt out in me. I wish I could sit and design with you. You're my favorite journaling u-tuber. TFS!! 💎XO🌹XO💘XO💜XO💎

I loved all of your ideas, and I LOVED how excited you get when you try out new ideas. I can't wait to see what you do with the one with food on it. Now I have to go buy some coffee, tea and dry spices to use in my art, because I don't use any of those normally. I started watching this video yesterday so today, I opened a household item and was about to throw away the packaging, when I thought, "maybe I can use it in art." Then, while making breakfast, I was eyeing my paper towels. Nothing is safe any more!
