    I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a flinch. And he does this for a living. That's why I'm looking at a 257 ARC for high power silhouette. Nothing more than it needs to be, but takes every advantage of what modern ballistic science has to commercially offer. Where am I wrong? Thank you for putting this information out there.

    I hope pristine warranties your bolt without any hassle and I agree with your assessment on the bolt compromising the strength of the handle. Definitely a design flaw imo. Looks like they’ll be back to the drawing board.

    Good luck in your upcoming competition and I have a gun smithing question for you on muzzle threading for a 308 win the barrel I have will not take 5/8×24 threads unless you cut it back 6" it will do a 9/16 ×24 thread at the current muzzle end but it will have to butt up against the crown of the barrel to be tightened against or would you cut it 1/2×28 ? Current muzzle diameter is .562 and one inch lower is .575 what is your opinion of what threading should be done.

    Hey Kenny what camera / optic system are you using to capture the bullet trace for your long range impacts? I saw the tacticam logo, but wonder what version and what you have it attached too. If you know of something even better I would be interested in that too. Thanks in advance.

  • @Lure-Benson

    @Lure-Benson

    Due to the primer problem of no primers for sale and when primers do show up, they are sold out in the spot I bought some Peterson brass 308 in small rifle primers size. Shooting small rifle primers in a 308 is crazy causing nearly every shot is a Hugh hang fire and at least hear the firing pin smack the primer and then the bang. Depending on types of powders and power charges the hang fires can get longer and worst with a few cartridges going off after I lowered the gun blowing holes in the dirt in front of me. I did found online site some Ginex primers from Bosnia in large rifle so I am using them now with pretty good loadings in the 308 and 6.5 - 284 Norma but if used in the 7 mm Rem mag they cause crazy hang fires.

    Awesome video and best of luck at the match! I had a few questions.. What length Zermatt action is that? Short or Med.? 2.860 seems close to max for a short. What Burris scope is that? I had to run the Berger 135's @ 2920 through a calc. All I have to say is WOW! Not only is 25CM the way to go for NRL Hunter.. But it would realistically take most big game out to ~900yd! A real eye opener to the cartridge and NRL requirements in general, Thank you.

    Thanks for watching Firstly! The action is just a standard short action with the Wyatt mag well cut. It will accommodate COAL of 3.010 from my testing if you have magazines capable of that length. Max length on majority of polymer mags are around 2.810. Magpul after minor filing gives 2.890 so I have small amount to grow for this particular 25 Creedmoor chamber. Yes im excited about the Hornady 134gr ELD's. I already have an order for some The optic is the Burris XTR III with SCR reticle and Burris race dial. IMO a great scope with very wide eye relief. The XTR Pro would be a step up recommendation

    Great video, I was considering 6x47, 25x47 or 6gt ,, 25 gt too slow too hard to chance a good balance, I feel 6.5x47 has better balance but getting slow also , 25 Creed is a good balance. I'm thinking 25x47 would have plenty of wiggle room to find a node. Ideally I would like a 123 gr 6x47 . That's unoptanium so 25x47 is that I'm left with , 25 Creed would work but I will always want the longest bullet I can get and it seems x 47 would help in that department but probably not worth it because of lack of brass . And creed is the way to go , Not sure, if anyone has any comments or recommendations, I'm interested to hear them.

    @@EagleEyeShooting Ive played 6xc. Then with the 25 gt , sold it , found it hard to find a sweet spot, rather too hot or not fast enough with the heavy pills that is with the Burger 133 Burger 135 Hornady match 134 all had a hard time until I went down too 110 Sierra matching one nosler 110 Burger 115. So I might as well used to 6 mm at that point. I feel like the case is a little too small for the 25 easily find The sweet spot , I would have been happier with a 6 gt. The only reason I went with the 25 just because 25 is at least usable for hunting with 125+pills . I just watched few of your videos on the 22, alot of time and effort ,great stuff , your fundamentals are solid. Last week I ordered a bravo stock, springs , firing pin, for my 457, I also ordered a 22 inch 9-twist barrel for sh*ts and giggils. It's a " acculite 22 brand so I'm not expecting much 😕 in fact I'm pretty sure my 16 inch pencil stock barrel can out shoot it ,, but spring is in the air I just planed 3 acres of sunflowers and crows are decimating the field by the hundreds , I wanted to go out there with my kid and take care of the crow proplem , I'm sure 1/8-1/6 of my seed has been eaten .. anyway sunflowers are cool but it's probably just an excuse to buy some gear :) I shoot a sako TRG and I ordered the bravo stock to build my son a mini TRG, I could not find anything decent that I could buy asap hence the Iacculite barrel , I figured I'll get the 9 twist just to play around with it since I have a bunch of subsonics, but sooner then later I will run out and at that point I would like to get a proper barrel for the cz457 , please let me know if you know anyone who's interested in selling one . By the end of this year I would like to rebarral the TRG 22 likely to 25 CR , or 25x47 @ 2850. Maybe you can rebarrel the TRG experiment a little find what you think would work best , I can let you borrow the TRG for a few months to play with I think it would be Great for your channel. I have a trg barrel wrench laying around waiting for its debut. Anyway let me know if you have any 457 barrels, or how to go about getting one . And if you're interested in tinkering with the TRG 22.
