If you ever hear "Made with Japanese steel" your alarm bells should ring. This isn't a jab at TechZone. This is generally an issue. Do you know what makes Japanese knives so special? It's the craftsmanship. Simply using Japanese steel is meaningless. It's like going back in time to steal Van Gogh's paint brush. Even if you could do that you're not going to be Van Gogh. Taking ingredients from Gordan Ramsey's kitchen won't make me a chef.

This is true, but you can also expect that a company who puts the extra money into higher quality steel will not want to replace a bunch of them due to shitty craftsmanship.

@@jeremybenoit759 Perhaps. China just isn't well known for high quality craftsmanship. Japan is very well regarded in this matter, and they earned that reputation. That's probably why Chinese businesses like to pretend to be Japanese, such as creating a company with a Japanese name like Kamikoto. If a company has trick me into buying from them it doesn't endear me with confidence in their products.
