Yea. Its kinda like a dystopia. These shrimp are probably living much longer than their natural lifespan. So to keep their population from exploding I'm this tank, the fish helps by taking the baby shrimp as a snackrifice

Have you ever tried scooping up a few gallons of pond water & taking a few fishtank nets swipes from some underwater foliage, & then pour it into a tank or a large glass & once everything settles seeing what's in there? Last time I did that with some young kids we got several large bullfrog tadpoles, two tiny baby crayfish, a bug that hangs upside down at the surface catching prey & breathing through it's butt sticking up out of the water which looked like a marine praying mantis, & the smallest baby bluegill & baby catfish I ever would have imagined, & a bunch of other cool stuff. The kids were fascinated, but no more than myself. But yeah, I can only imagine all the cool creatures & the near infinite number of their tiny life dramas that have played out in the swamps & seas of this wonder of a planet.. it's too bad we're quickly poisoning & killing it all.

When Loomster finally appeared he arrived in menacing form; nothing but a pair of giant, glowing eyes, unblinking, shining from the darkest pockets of forest shadow, promising the otherwise hidden presence of the sort of monster your parents lied about to comfort your child mind, assuring you such fearful beasts lived only in stories of imagination. You shut your own eyes tightly, & hope that this feeble gesture might banish the creature, yet when you look again those big yellow orbs remain still, lurking, always watching. The way Loomster crept along behind those branches, staring defiantly out at the giant interloper invading the world he is the devil king of, it gave me a bit of the willies! Excellent drama, great suspense, & true fear inducing horror- so peaceful & tranquil at first look, until you realize you're watching a world of living nightmare, where unseen in the dark places a lonely & jealous Loomster ruthlessly murders & consumes seemingly endless numbers of unsuspecting & innocent baby shrimps naive enough to wander in to the shadows of his forest of merciless death. Yes Loomster is truly the tank terror, the aqua forest monster, the "Fishsquatch", silent & calcuating, his big glowing eyes are the last horrible sight many an innocent victim ever will see.. Wait, is he looking at you? Remain faithfully in the open where the light shines bright, & let not curiosity or carelessness lure you close to the dark shadows of the forest, else you will surely become the next victim of his violence.

That was beautiful -- the color was so vivid! I wish I had an aquarium like this, but, alas, I do not have your patience and dedication. What I saw here is the result of a great deal of time and effort.

So glad that I stumbled upon this video … totally fascinating… loved every second of it

Part of me wants to live Loomster's life, just swim through an underwater forest and be at peace

I love at the end when the carrot was barely intact, the movement of the shrimps made it shake, so all the shrimps looked like they were boogie-ing :)

This was lovely. I'm waiting for a heavy frost before I harvest my carrots in my little garden. I grew orange, yellow, red and black carrots. The carrot must have been a delicious treat for the little beings.
