It's fascinating that they put so much money down on the robotic arm, but then clearly cheaped out on the processor that calculates what movements it has to make. It takes such a long time for it to get moving! A bit of it must have to do with the programming of it as well, it would seem that the fastest way of doing the processing is just have a pre-set motion path to all of the different containers, with an ID attached. When the order comes through, the computer just fetches the pre-made path for each product ID and feeds it to the arm, rather than having to calculate each new order which is what I think is making it so slow to start. Still wouldn't be super fast, mind you, but it'd be faster to start moving.

It's getting harder and harder to find workers to work in stores all day (and especially at night) as wages rise and the pool of workers shrink. Businesses are countering this by making the stores mostly self service with self and automated checkouts. Vending machines can be convenient to use in the middle of the night or in places more stores cannot be built for the consumer, and reduces the chance of merchandise being stolen for the business.

I love these videos
This was really cool, I enjoyed it ! I’d love to see you do a vegan/vegetarian foods haul and try 🥰
And now that the items are out of the machine, you two are going to look at them like you never seen them before.
I dream of visiting Singapore someday and seeing such interesting machines and food.
i wanna visit singapore so bad just to eat at all the places you show
Imagine that robot defense system triggered that poor soul trying to steal some food
This was more like an inconvenient store.
we need these here !!
1:43 - 2:00 humans are faster to pick up the food 🤣🤣 Love you from Argentina, we watch your videos with my niece ❤
$3.50 for a small bag of corn chips is insane! 😲 Keep the robot arm, vending machines have been doing just fine for decades without them.

they imported that brand from Korea 😊
Love from India I am your regular veiwer...love your content..🎈🎉♥️
It's his first day, so he's a bit slow
How convenient is it really? It takes forever for the arm to process the order and to retrieve your items. And mind you, you're paying extra for this novelty and "convenience". At the end of the day, unless things can be speeded up, I don't think your neighbourhood convenience store is going to be out of business that soon,
It looks amazing
It would make me so happy if the robot had a tie and a little hat
Everytime I read "Singapore", Conan Edogawa screams in my head: I AM IN SINGAPORE!!! 😂
Nice change up today 👍
I think the whole world is slowly becoming vending machines
Welcome to NUS!
ooh that corn ice cream is my favorite! it's so yummy!
Oh i would love to try that corn ice cream, but I'm sure my country will never have it
That robotic arm must be paid minimum wage. It takes forever to get moving. LOL
It took so long to grab the stuff lol. Imagine in 10-20 years we might get actual shopkeeper robot.
日本のお菓子が多いですね。今回も面白かったです。
I also love vending machine foods!!
I love this
That bite from the Corn Icecream. Was hungry, I guess.
God ow.. My teeth are terribly pained by the cold. So whenever I see someone bite into ice cream or even imply so, I wince. XD
The corn ice cream is very cool!
Me encantan tus vídeos! Siempre se me antoja probar jajajaja saludos desde México! :3

Had this been in a place like Los Angeles, it'd be vandalised in that same day. Smh.
Whoa. What a big vending machine 😲
And the machine r back!
Will it not be faster and easier if it was human operated?? Great video as always ♥️

@@pkmnan00bis actually in my country workers are getting unemployed due to high use of machines. If this kind of techs starts here, it will be tremendously harmful for them.
All that was going through my head when the food was in the microwave "Around the world, around the world."
Great video Dancingbacons
Man, I bet it's a chore to stock that thing with products.
