A bit of trivia - my surname of Bevis is an anglicised version of Beauvais so it is great to see that the origin of my surname is a beautiful town and not an industrial mess.

Jordan, last week I took a RyanAir plane from Venice (Treviso) to Beauvais and once in Beauvais, I found a bus to Paris. France is beautiful. Thanks for posting this. Come visit Venice!

A lot of parisians complain about how far Beauvais is from Paris, but it's really not that bad, especially if the flights are really cheap, then it's definitely worth the little extra time!

It was not a church but the Cathedral of Beauvais! Come on, it's a masterpiece of gothic art!

I agree! One of the most beautiful cathedrals I've ever seen! (I'm not sure what the difference is between church and cathedral ...they are both churches no?)

Yess that's definitely on my list because I've been to places near there, but not yet to Rouen so hopefully soon! ^^

Les maisons en briques, en poutres et colombages , ou en pierres de tailles , sont très belles aussi. Les vitraux dans les églises et cathédrales sont trop beaux. Les forêts et espaces verts aussi. Tu devrais être guide touristique. You should be a tourist guide. 👏👍😉

Bah siiii je fais des vidéos sur Paris de temps en temps ! L'été dernier j'ai fait quelques vidéos genre "Fête de la Musique à Paris" et "I travel to Paris for lunch" et "Re-visiting my Parisian Apartments" et "Seasonal Foods in the US". (Probablement j'en ai fait encore plus que ça mais celles-ci ont été tournées à Paris :)

Thank you! It was super luminous inside the cathedral! I didn't need any sort of additional lighting which was great!

I stayed 3 days in Beauvais after a Wizz Air flight from Gdańsk. Was staying in Residence Jeanne Hachette (housing block estate which had a swimming pool) and relied on decent bus system. Jeanne Hachette is a revered historical figure and there’s a procession last weekend in June. Is it happening this year? Your upload is timely. Lots of great places around square for aperitif, and should return for an update. I loved Little Italy Restaurant near the main square.

That sounds like an awesome detour trip after flying from there! Excellent idea, I definitely would have done the same ^^. The cathedrale "Le Quadrilatère" was such a super nice surprise, one of the most impressive I've ever seen ! Now that bars and restaurants are open again, I'll have to go again the next time I fly from there!

The procession didn't happen this year again (in 2020, it was also like that). F.cking restrictions of liberty...

I have always want to visit France there is a special nun there that I would live to be able to meet. Is it expensive to travel in Beauvais in terms of hotel and foods? I really like your travel videos in France and will you do more of them? Do the people in Beauvais speak English?

La distance est de 71 km à partir de paris Notre-Dame à la 1ère limite de Beauvais ..je suis conductrice de taxi de paris et j'ai passé toute ma jeunesse à Beauvais jusqu'à mes 18 ans j'ai 81ans salutations de paris

Faut venir à Amiens maintenant fréro !

T'as raison, il y a des villes bcp plus belles en France, mais pourquoi pas faire un détour pour les gens qui voyagent de Beauvais :) un demi-journée suffit, mais je t'avoue que la cathédrale "Le Quadrilatère" est très très belle et je te conseil de la visiter un jour ! ^^

@@JordanPatrick Malheureusement l'aéroport de Beauvais ne dessert que rarement New-York en avion :-) donc peu de chance pour que j'y passe.....mais qui sait ? Les hasards de la vie.....

Sais-tu que l'aéroport de Beauvais est aussi le point de départ pour aller visiter Dublin pour pas cher du tout ? Sais-tu que la (magnifique) cathédrale de Beauvais est la plus haute de France, et que c'est pour ça qu'elle s'est écroulée (au Moyen-âge) et qu'il ne reste plus que le transept ? Juste à côté de la cathédrale se trouvent le trés beau musée des beaux-arts, lui même situé dans le magnifique ancien évêché, ainsi que le très intéressant musée de la tapisserie de Beauvais !

The weather wasn't great that specific day, I'm sure it's a lot nicer during summer time...but it's a lot smaller than Paris and less people, so quite normal to feel quite empty! ^^
