JConcepts now offers a suspension conversion set for the popular Slash 4x4 and Stampede 4x4. The upgrade includes carbon fiber front and rear shock tower, aluminum shock stand-offs, body mount adaptors and aluminum caster blocks. Using this combination of parts along with other parts (not included) help build the ultimate monster truck from two of either of the most popular Traxxas vehicles on the market.
The 4mm long-stroke front shock tower has been designed to use a longer Traxxas shock (not included) for better shock geometry in rugged conditions. The carbon material improves response of the suspension and provides a stable setting for the included aluminum body mount adaptor. The rear tower, also in 4mm material, utilizes the stock geometry but with the addition of carbon fiber and precise machining, tightens up the feel of the rear suspension. The included aluminum shock stand-offs position the shocks at an advantageous angle and allows the shocks to work as designed.
All the changes to the geometry conclude with the new caster blocks. The camber link position has been revised and extra material trimmed to allow smaller diameter wheels needed for monster truck wheels and tires. The machined aluminum blocks are durable and are finished in a high-gloss black anodizing. The set includes heavy-duty 3mm hardware to secure the transformation. This set of parts, combined with the list of items below complete a conversion to the ultimate monster truck for racing, bashing and free-styling.

Those monster truck conversions are really cool. It just occurred to me for slash and stampede owners, the look like they would convert to 1/8 scale ebuggy really easily too for a cheaper entry to 1/8 buggy racing. Stadium truck to 1/8 ebuggy!
I wish y'all would make similar modifications to the Traxxas E/T-maxx.

Now that the full kit is on perma out of stock status. Don't worry about the rear it servers little purpose overall. Just buy the front parts and a set of shocks and afew fasteners. In the end you spend less than the full kit.

great conversion! so no additional parts needed beside the jconcepts 2477 on the stampede 4x4? and it also works on the stampede 4x4 vxl right?
Does the swapping of the rear blocks work for the slash too?
Please tell me this kit isn't discontinued. Just ordered a stampede 4x4 roller just for this! It's out of stock everywhere, Damnit.
Which chassis is it? 4x4 LCG or a normal 4x4 one?

You will need our kit to be able to mount the longer shocks up front and the redesigned castor blocks in order for MT wheels to fit properly up front. So, yes.
Can the carbon shock towers be used standalone as a upgrade to the original plastic towers?

Hello I have a question, since we need use bigger diameter tires, with this conversion what gearing you will recommend so we don't burn or over heat the ESC or Motor what pinion and spur you will recommend to start

We went with an 11 tooth pinion and the stock 54 tooth spur gear on the Slash 4x4. Should be a similar set up for the Stampede 4x4. This gave us a bit more torque for freestyle competition, if you are running long distance you may want to adjust the pinion a bit. Always check the temps of your motor to be safe.

Your best bet is a cheap 550 motor. Hobbystar makes some for $30, along with 80 amp escs to go with em for $55, since vxl systems arent that great and burn up easily

I have the Slash 4x4 Ultimate, do I still need this conversion kit to put 2.8” wheels on it?

That is the version of Slash 4x4 we use as a base, will work great!

100 bucks for aluminum front c's?!!! I can mount my own xxl shocks to the stock setup, buy a set of universal long body post. Mount them to the stock mounts and add any set of monster truck tires for like 25 bucks SMH
