24 is a brilliant series and the characters and stories are top notch and Jack Bauer is definitely one of the all-time best

It's on the dvd sets. Prequels to season 4, 5 and 6 are there. This one is the more action packed. Season 4 prequel brings Audrey, Driscoll, a terrorist crossing the Mexican border and Jack at his new job. Season 6 prequel brings a trick done by the Chinese on Jack while he is in their hands. I think only this one and the season 4 prequel add to the 24 universe.

Jack always found the time to be polite even in the most frantic times.ledgend.

Jack spots a tail and deals with an attempted assassination in a high-speed pursuit in less than ten minutes, after meeting up with Chloe to determine how bad things have gotten for him. One of my all-time favourite series, this is a quick example of why. Very few characters have ever done what he had to do and survived to fight another day, let alone ended up saving millions of lives, maybe billions if World War 3 had broken out despite his best efforts. My only complaint was they killed off so many supporting characters, David and Dwayne Palmer, Michelle Dessler, Bill Buchanan, Tony Almeida (he got better)...

“Wayne Palmer” and his fate is unknown e could be alive and brain dead or dead……but in great storytelling good characters have to die for the protagonist to develop…..Tony turned into a sociopath and a villain

Those deaths make the story much more tragic. Everyone close to Jack dies because of his job. Kim and Chloe survived only because the former distanced herself from him and the latter was saved by Jack's sacrifice.

Worth it just for the mullet wig!

David Palmer died, Michelle died, Tony died, they tried to kill Chloe also... and you know that it was because they all knew the truth about Jack. So I would say it's a pretty good thing that Jack didn't tell Kim he was alive... he was doing the best, as he always does! He is trying to protect everyone and he always gets nothing in return (only bad things!)

Probably Chinese. It's unlikely that the people who tried to set Jack up for the hit on Palmer were trying to capture or kill him here, because that plan didn't come into effect until the day before season 5 started (when they discovered Palmer knew too much). The Chinese, however, were likely to be suspicious about Jack's death from the start.

Honestly Kiefer Sutherland in this video looks like he should be telling people rub the lotion on the skin or else you'll get the hose again Buffalo Bill

Best action series and government show of all time ?yes it is! Homeland is great but 24 is better . For me 24 is something very special. Prison break 1-3 only was up there , 4&5 is trash but all 24 seasons are amazing

You do realize that everyone who knew he was alive was attempted assassinated? If he had contacted her the conspirors would've found out and killed her, that's the obvious and only reason why, he couldn't. He's said it himself that the worst thing he had ever gone through was not being able to tell Kim. Just realized that I am 2 years late, but I'll just push the button instead of erasing it :P

huh i do not remember a scene like this where he has long hair but it kinda looks familiar? was this one of those scenes that was cut out? if i remember correctly at the end of season 5 jack puts on his sunglasses and disappears into the sun set walking along the rail track and in beginning of season 6 he comes out of hiding and meets cloe at a gas plant with that kid in a helicopter he stole (borrowed)

And let's be honest, Day 9 or LAD (live another day) was quite frustrating. Only 12 episodes? Too disappointing, Jack deserved more.

@MsDIDOUAZ852 naw he did, all he had to do was make one phone call, take all the necessary precautions to make sure no one knows that he made the call, just tell your kid that you're alive, you dont even have to see her just let the poor girl know you're not dead, I mean he knows what she went through after losing her mom and then to make her go through it all over again is inexcusable in my books, he shoulda told her he was alive.
