Amazing movie. Highly underrated movie of all time. The way Surya carried all 3 roles was just amazing. Sci-fi movies are as difficult as comedy movies. If the screenplay and interest level is not correct, then it will become bad movie. Hats off to Surya who picked this movie even though many production houses rejected this. 24 will remain one of the best movies ever.

Suriya underrated?? Not at all man!! The guy has huge fanbase in TN, Andhra, Telengana, Kerala, Karnataka, and even some Bollywood actors like him.

Shaz Efron.. After he modified the watch, he realised his father's 6th finger on the photo.. he had a doubt.. so he travelled to future to reconfirm that, he gave the duplicate watch to Athreya, and must have kept quiet but in alert mode that whether that guy is his real father or athreya.. then when Athreya started revealing himself, he got the confirmation, so he must have travelled back to present, do another duplicate watch and again meet athreya, whereby only he aware of what is going to happen.. but this time he wants to know the date, year and time of his real father's killing incident..So thats why he gave again the duplicate watch.. Director cant explain everything in the scenes..then it will become too boring..Thats where audience intelligence will come into action.. hope this clears the doubts.. if there is any further doubts, ask the director.. hahaha.. This is what i understood when i watch the movie.. :)

he gave the real watch to athreya in the future. but when he traveled to that time the watch returned to his hands. they actually explained it in the movie in a previous scene.

nah first time he only came to clarify if its really athreya or not. After he clarified that its athreya he came a second time to get the exact date from him...

So before Atarya told about truth even before receiving the watch ….. that’s why Soorya went back in time and repeat it again by making fake watch

i hope i am not too late but there is not a proper explanation for that but mani already had a doubt because of the 6th finger so i think he made the duplicate already and gave it to athreya and athreya revealed himself and mani comfirmed his doubt that he is athreya (In the movie this scene is shown as a flashback). Than he goes back to the same spot again but this time he additionally asks him for the date so that he can travel back in time to safe his parents in the past.

if he went yesterday for testing watch means that day atreya would go past !! then how come surya meet him 2nd time... ??

This is why Tamil movies are best. Bollywood and telgu movies suck

Bro!! I could believe all these idiotic scenes if this movie categorized under FANTASY and not science-fiction. Moreover, how can anyone accept a WATCH MECHANIC building a time-control device that too overnight.!!!!! And I dont simply believe what hollywood movies gives. But most of the good movies gives logical platform to make you accept.
