Singapore Sling at Raffles, now that is classy and a bucket list for sure! If you read older books or watch old films this drink is frequently mentioned as the fancy exotic drink the swanky character enjoys. Also, the peanut/snacks bowl is only a germ fiesta if they are already peeled, the shells on the nuts obviously keep them 'clean'. :)

What an ultimate stopover! I bet it was a fulfilling day! On a related note, have you seen the new V4 of the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane? It's receiving positive reviews for its innovative design, and I thought you might find it interesting for your upcoming trips.

The warehouse (which the British used to refer to them as Godowns) used to store peppercorns down by the river where goods are loaded directly from large wooden barges known as 'tongkangs'. These barges are usually without engines and moved along the river by 2 oarsmen pushing long poles on either side continuously. Dutch photographer Michael Roggue has old videos on YT.

What countries would you and Pia recommend for someone new to traveling? I'll be visiting France soon but would love advice. Love your content

The hygienic problems are only with already peeled Peanuts on the Bar counter, where everybody grabs some nuts from the same bowl and puts them directly in the mouth. When you have a Bag unpeeled Peanuts on your own table you won't have any problems. Have a great Trip!
