You might want to try Northern Luzon for a change in landscape like Banaue Rice Terraces, Batad Rice Terraces, Vigan City, Pagudpud, Palaui Island in Sta. Ana Cagayan. Less crowded than other tourist destinations in the Philippines because of the long land travel.

Siquijor is a great island, I was there about 6 years ago, most Filipinas don’t like to visit because they think it’s under some sort of spell and has a reputation of witchcraft! Palitos beach is regarded as the most beautiful. I loved it there, it’s very underpopulated compared to other islands and it’s a great island to ride a motorbike, enjoy! Can’t believe you never tried coconut before, especially as you were in Thailand, anyway it’s an amazingly healthy drink, also many Thai island have coral as well, but yes Philippines is better for snorkelling, wait till you get to Coron the most beautiful coral I’ve ever seen, it competes with Raja Ampat, West Papua Indonesea as some of the best in the world

as a Siquijodnon, i'd say we are mistaken for being known as a "land of witchcraft" instead of "land of faith healers". Our beautiful tourist spots are always overshadowed by the "witches" which doesn't really exist here. ❤❤

I need a real long vacation so that I can visit some of these beautiful places that you have shown to us. Thanks guys for sharing this all with us. These are definitely the kind of amazing places we would otherwise never get to see.

Okay you guys. I haven't gone through the entire video yet but up to 2:45, I just got to say that you really got me now at actually going about your journey using the local Ro-ro! I truly have a soft spot for visitors who take time to travel as the locals do and I so heart you guys for this. Undeniably the best way to really and deeply experience the country and its islands is by sea; get the local pulse, delays and all (for now at least; I hope the tourism and posrt authorities see this but take heart-much has improved in terms of sea travel but much still needs to be done). Go, Ro-ro! awesome as usual. Travel safe, keep dry. All the best as you go along.

Just a piece of an advice: Put your bag infront and not on your back to avoid any pickpocket if you are in a crowd. That is what Travis Fein is doing. Enjoy your trip in Siquijor.

@@AshandKels , just be extra careful. even if there are locks, the pickpocket is so expert to slash the bag. it happened to me some years ago in Manila when i rode a jeepney.

Some times traveling is not perfect , but the fun thing about traveling is when you go with the flow.. just take care .keepsafe and God bless 💪🇵🇭❤🙏

I'm not sure what it is about Siquijor, but a few weeks on this island helped me get out of a long period of desolation, a blue funk - precipitated by personal and professional setbacks. Stayed at a friend's house in San Juan near Paliton beach, a hidden gem that travelers endeavors to find to enjoy a piece of paradise. Try to visit the place, it's worth your while. Your content keeps getting better and better. Safe travels, guys.

if you like diving, tubbataha reef national park is the best coral reef diving spots. it is also part of palawan. but there are many other diving spots in palawan that are more easily accessible.

Coconut juice is one of the cleanest source of drinks,it has natural form of electolites which véry good for oral rehydration.If you are not sure that the water you sre drinking is clean,just go with the coconut juice.Enjoy.

Coconut water is probably one of the cleanest thing you can drink. Its so clean that if you were dehydrated and needed a dextrose. You can use coconuts and pump it straight to your veins like what people and American soldiers had to do in WW2.

The Spanish named it isla Del fuego and it literally means Island of fire. Because there are so many fireflies on the island when they discovered it and it looks enchanting and mystical at night especially from the sea

The coconut juice gets sweeter when its cold, you can find some sellers that sells cold, you must also eat the coconut meat, ask the seller to chop the shell in half after you finish the juice, they can also make spoon from the coconut shell.

Make sure you don't trow the coconut away after drinking, the best is yet to come.. you can eat the inside of it, just ask the vendor to open it. btw you miss Cebu's white sand beaches, up north of Cebu island has full of white sand beaches. 😄 another island that is not visited much is Dinagat island just west of Siquijor island, its called the little Palawan island, lots of white sand beaches with less tourist. Thats great you figured out how to take local transportation, save lots of money.

try going to (Panay island )Iloilo city then go to Boracay 1.esplanade river walk-iloilo city 2.eat batchoy at Teds-iloilo city 3.eat Siopao at robertos-iloilo city 3.go to Miag-ao( Unesco )Church 4.eat mangos at guimaras island..mango festival on may(sweetest mango) 5. malupati rivers in Pandan Antique 6.Garin Farm at Guimbal rent a scooter while in guimaras island...its 20 minutes boat ride from iloilo city

I prefer coconut water cold. You should drink coconut water frok time to time for electrolytes. Sometimes we add a bit of sugar to our water (when at home) but obviously no sugar is healthier

Palawan sure is very beautiful with stunning and gorgeous white-sand beaches and unspoilt islands. However, it's very costly to get around Palawan as public transport is very poor you need to charter a car or vehicle just to get around. So if you want to visit Palawan, you have to stay only in a resort or within the vicinity of the resort.

pure coconut water is not really sweet but it is very healthy 😊 there are other versions where the coconut water is mixed with ice, sugar and shredded coconut meat and another one is the coconut shake 😉 all three differs in taste and texture, but I do hope you can try them all.. enjoy and stay safe 😊 welcome to the Philippines 🇵🇭

On coconuts, next time ask for a young coconut.. after drinking the juice, go back and have them open it so you can’t eat the soft meat (if you get an older coconut the meat will be tough)

@@AshandKels I understand you, being a foreigner, gets intrigued by Siquijor island. Local Filipinos are not. Because the attractions that Siquijor has are also found in most islands in the countries. That's the reason why too few sea routes going there and even less frequency. They don't even have scheduled flights to important cities like Cebu and Manila. So going there is really very costly and often stressful to most tourists. All tourists attractions in Siquijor are also found in Cebu even better and very cheap and free.

Unflavoured coconut water is ideal for rehydration especially during the hot weather because of its electrolytes like potassium, manganese, and sodium. It is low in sugar and calories.
