24 HOURS IN MONTREAL 🔥 ft Smoked Meat Sandwich in Canada

What do you eat and do with 24 hours in Montreal, Canada? Only about a 1.5 hour flight away from NYC, Montreal glitters with festivities, food and art culture. 1:52 so you translated it as a "lunch danish" but it would actually be a breakfast danish. The reason is that in quebec we say "déjeuner, diner, souper" for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But in france, they say "petit-déjeuner, déjeuner, diner".

    For all the tourists in Mtl: There is a 10$ metro pass for tourists (or locals) that allows you to travel all you want for a day ! Unlimited ! I would suggest it if you have more than 2 stops in Montréal that are far apart.

  • @andrewb4984

    @andrewb4984

    To add to that, a weekly pass is unlimited and costs $30. We got ours right at the airport and more than got our money's worth. Kids ride for free and the transit system (subways and buses) is simple to navigate even if you don't speak a lick of french. It's clean, safe and on time. Skip the uber. Use the public transit system whenever possible that's how we found some great random spots.

    Pro tip: Joe Beef requires getting a reservation well ahead of time. If you can't get one, you can try Livepool House next door by the same chefs. If again you can't, there's Vin Papillon next next door and that one is walk-in only, so you always have a chance to get a table.

    Thanks for reminding me of all the good places we've got ! Can't wait to go back out once we are out of confinement! Next time, you should try St-Viateur bagles! And I had no idea peanut butter dumplings started here!! Also, a little clarification for the danish. In France, "déjeuner" means 'lunch' (and 'petit déjeuner' is breakfast) but here in Québec, we mostly refer to breakfast as 'déjeuner', lunch as 'dîner' and dinner as 'souper', which makes a little more sense with the egg in that danish! :)

    I can't get over the fact that you went Chez Claudette! That is next level 'live like a local' stuff. Also Fondation Phi is one of my favourite art spots in the city. I hope you get to come back again soon with your mom. She seems so nice!

    Eat poutine all the time and I love when the gravy melts the cheese curds. So i dont really care if its squeaky or not as long as its covered in gravy

    Merci a vous deux d’avoir visiter ma ville et de partager vos belles impressions 🥰🇨🇦 Vous nous rappelez de tous qq on a proche de chez nous, mais nous oublions de l’apprécier à cause de notre routine. Je sais que plusieurs ne seront pas d’accord avec moi, mais Montréal est extraordinaire en hiver ❄️ la neige lui donne un charme inégalable ☺️😎

    I love your montreal videos, allows me to discover my hometown haha :-) Next time, you should go to "Ma Poule Mouillé", they have amazing portuguese BBQ, and a great poutine, and right in front is "La Banquise", which is open 24/7 and is reknowned for their poutine (basically their main meal - side note, yes squeaky cheese is important for a poutine, but the gravy and fries are aswell! Maybe try a poutine at McDonalds also, it could be fun to compare them! ), you should also compare St-Viateur Bagels to Fairmount bagels, there's been a long debate on which ones are better! Notre-Boeuf-de-Grace, La Belle et le Boeuf, Grand burger, JukeBox Burgers (although in the west island and out of the downtown core) for good burgers, Lov and Aux Vivres for great vegan/vegetarian food, Park Restaurant (although expensive) for japanese food with Korean/Argentinian twist, Saint Sushi, Yokato Yokabai for the world's best ramen (or at least Montreal's best ramen haha), For breakfast/Brunch: Chez Fred & Café Bazin for pastries and bread, Regine Café is amazing, L'avenue restaurant is great, you must visit the bathrooms when you go as well (music can be loud tho), Tommy café is also beautiful, café olympico for coffee. Ca Lem ice cream in summer is amazing, Alati-Casserta for delicious italian pastries, and so many more! I would maybe come back in the fall, best season in my opinion! Its gorgeous (if it's sunny) and not too hot (and especially not too humid like our summers can be), but definitely not freezing. Enjoy!!
