24 Hours In Cambodia | Private Sunrise Tour $110- WORTH IT?
Since I went to Siem Reap alone, I got a private guide and driver. Let's get this out of the way first, "How much did it cost?" It cost me $110 USD , for a 10 hour experience. Now the cost would be reduced by almost half if you were with a friend, and a third if you with another, and so on, and so forth. I felt this was the best choice for me, to get the full experience, be able to video and speak freely, and move about in as little or as much time as I wanted. Plus, he took some really awesome photos for me! The entrance fee is $20 (£15) to $37 (£28) for a one-day pass, a three-day pass from $40 (£31) to $62 (£48) and a seven-day ticket from $60 (£46) to $72 (£55)
The visa system was extremely efficient. Don't forget to bring a photo, but if you do, they have people who can photograph you at an inexpensive cost, but it'll take time. For me, I had a photo with me and filled out the visa form in line- it took me about 10 minutes.
That evening, I went to the market to buy some clothes that will cover my knees and shoulders. The temples have a strictly enforced, no exposed body parts, rule.
The first temple I went to, is Angkor Wat and I went at 5am for sunrise. I enjoyed the whole experience, albeit tiring.
I just wanted to say, at about 4:50, the statue isn't a hindu statue but rather a buddhist statue with a buddhist robe, but an example of one is in 6:40 (Hindu God Vishnu with a Buddhist robe). To get the full effect of the echo room: listen with headphones- the reverb is seriously cool!
The second temple I went to is Phnom Bakheng Temple. It has 5 tiers and overlooks Angkor Wat. The third temple is called Bayon Temple- a temple known for the many heads that face in all directions. It's really magnificent there.
Ta Keo Temple is fourth- beautiful too- lots to steps though. But what really stood out to me about this temple is kindness. I joined some locals for beers ($1USD), and there was a chance you'd win another beer with the beer (it was one of those, lift the top of the can, kind of contest/games). I bought a round ($6USD) and won a free beer too. It's ridiculous, a drink in Canada is about $10...
The fifth and last temple is Ta Prohm Temple- tomb raider temple had a lot of really interesting tree growth. By this time, I was sooooo tired. So it was nice to end the tour with a Hollywood film location :)
That evening, I took the tuk tuk (the motorcycle buggies) to the circus (Phare). For $18 USD, I'd recommend it. It's interesting, teaches you a bit about culture, it gives you a chance to support local artists.
These take a long time to make, so if you liked it, let me know by:

Been there last December and Cambodia is really a historical place. It looks like you are being transported to a different time. The people are so friendly and even shocked that they sometime speak your own language.

Thank you for visiting Cambodia. And if there is another chance, next time when you come to Cambodia, i would like to recommend you to go to Phnom Bakheng at 4:30-5:00pm (depend on the weather) to enjoy the sunset view, you would feel like the round sun is in front of you and it is so beautiful. 😊😊😊😄😄😄😘😘😘

Cambodia is an underrated travel destination in Asia specially and in the world in general ! And very sorry for the extremely painful and extremely traumatic genocide the Cambodian people very unfortunately suffered under the Khmers-Rouges very bloodthirsty tyranny !
I do appreciate your beautiful time spending at Cambodia. Thank you so much 😊

@@amandavlogwithHi Amanda, it's a great Vlog! I love watching it. Angkor Wat Equinox happened twice a year, it might be on the 22nd or 23rd of March (in which the weather is hot for foreigners like you) and the 21st or 22nd of September (in which the weather is more or less wet because of the monsoon rainy season), but for the reasonable weather (almost neither rain nor hot climate) to visit the ancient Khmer Temples is like December, January and February, and but it's depending on people's choices and their vacation time and thank you for visiting my country 🙏💝
this was amazing to see you travel to Cambodia! Also, I really love your outfit you wore to the Angkor Wat temple.

I had to watch this video twice. The first time, I wasn't really paying attention, because I was too busy admiring how pretty you were. Great footage to go along with your commentary. I really enjoyed it. As some have pointed out, you're really brave to travel alone. I need to find the courage and take the dive like you. I should probably stop dragging my brother around the world with me. Do you have any other trips planned soon? Oh btw, I did read the whole video description above. Lol
