I once met a guy who travelled the globe hosting seminars on ' how to live without money ' I asked how he travelled without money ? He said he had a 50 thousand pound trust fund that he received every year 😂😂 no joke 😂😂 Nice family these are, can't fault em but to say ' no money ' lol your joking arnt you ....

Bilbao is an absolutely wonderful city. If, when you go next again, the best time to have a look around the museum is first thing in the morning, it’s gets very busy. I love the city and the people and I’ve always said they have the best tapas in the whole of Spain. Those plates are to die for, you can really eat well. Made me laugh when you said you didn’t have any cash on you….so funny. Looking forward to your next vlog. Hearing your wee one speak is such a joy, he’s coming along leaps and bounds. Love Bilboa. Half of it was built by my dad. Bilboa was built on steel industry, and was full of blast furnaces, much the same as the north of England. It reinvented itself after the collapse of the steel industry and became a cultural centre for arts and film industry. Shame you didn’t get a chance to go the old port in Getxo. You will find that all transport in Spain is like this, if you go to Madrid it has easily one of the best metros in the world. Valladolid, wine and rugby country. Yes rugby it’s the rugby centre of Spain, about the only place in Spain you won’t hear people talking about football in the bars. Played at Pepe rojo many a time. Have fun and enjoy the food.

How lovely, hope you had a wonderful trip! My son visits Bilbao about twice a year with his little family, he is from South Africa but became Spanish after he married his Peruvian/ Spanish wife. His wife’s family members live on a timber farm in Bilbao handed down from grandparents!

How refreshing to see how it can be done just using public transport and you make it look so easy. Will seems to take it all in his stride, he is such a credit to you. Thank you for taking us along.

On that bit about walking to town, being young and healthy enjoy walking as much as you can; it is an excellent way to connect with and experience your location. Nice thing about traveling between England and Spain is that jet lag is a non-issue, only 1 hour time difference.

Bilbao was my initial Spanish/Basque ‘port of call’ after I befriended a pilgrim on my first ‘camino de santiago’…she helped get my official spanish papers and bank account there; people with amazing hospitality…it’s a lovely city with amazing sights…glad you had fun! 😌 and I haven’t been to Valladolid even though I was in Spain on and off for 6 years 😕 enjoy the rest of your time…🎉

pretty cool how so many spanish cities have excellent intermodal transportation (transit, protected bike lanes, wide walking paths, and i guess roads for cars). not just madrid or barcelona. years better than the uk. and centuries better than the us.

Really enjoying these vlogs. I might do the same trip myself :) .Buses only accept up to 20 euros. I was in Malaga a few weeks ago and two lovely girls from Lithuania only had a 50 euro note and they weren't allowed to get on ( I paid it and they left me the most gorgeous note). People are always lovely when you are travelling! x
