This is normal weather and eind of August even up till October the weather is like Indian Summer. So Yes, there are some rains but that is just normal for 50 years now that I am living here.

a pancake in the Netherland and Belgium is what you call a crêpe, which is de french name for pancake. The big fluffy pancakes you know we call american pancakes or "poffertjes" and even poffertjes aren't really the same :p Also the time you said "stroopwafel" different is the right way, two "o" don't become an "oe" sound int Dutch, it is just a long "o" :p If ever again in Belgium, it is worth visiting Mechelen (Malin), Leuven, Hasselt, and Maasmechelen, or more towards the coast Gent, De Haan, Ieper
