Hi Shai, my mother and every Jamaican mother can cook that I know of, but the thing is she didn’t teach her four girls to cook! Guess what though she taught 3 of her sons to cook! Everybody eventually learned to cook on their own! She actually preferred her daughters to her sons!😅

​​@@COCOBOY369 There is a nicer, cleaner and more relaxed beach in Portmore . It's called Port Henderson. There is a place to have an outdoor shower. It's the only approved beach by the government in Portmore and they have plans to make a boardwalk with shops there. Hillshire is not considered safe for swimming due to the sea floor unleveled. There is a Hotel where Port Henderson is that's turned into apartment buildings. Some people operate Airbnb there. Look up Port Henderson beach. There's another beach called Forth Clarence or Port Clarence also in Portmore. They are all supposed to be free but some hustlers see an opportunity to create side hustle by changing. You guys should stay in Portmore awhile to experience working class life. Portmore is designed to be the new parish. The government are putting in all the municipalities to make it the 15 parish. Fyi. It was a group of Jewish brothers with surnames Henriques who build the first development in Portmore using reclaim land from the sea. If it weren't for them there would be no houses there as Portmore is at sea level. You should go to the Jewish synagogue on Duke Street Kingston. It was build 1912. They do tours. It has a lot of history.

Fishing Ports are not for swimming in Jamaica. If you go to Clarendon go to Rocky Point fishing port. Nadine was a popular Jamaican name in the 1970s. Nadine Sutherland is a popular Jamaican singer.

Jamaica is expensive . Cheap places would be in the ghettos. If you are not street smart and adoptable and a seasoned traveler it's not advisable to stay in a " cheap " place" in Jamaica.

If you want to know if fish is fresh, look on the eyes if they are brightly and shine. If you have it for long, it looks gloomy, pale, dull. The fish you bought is not from the sea. These are fresh water raised pond fish.

I think you need to watch it again and carefully. He bought 2 for himself and 2 for Tommy. They both have one in the afternoon and again later. If you watch and listen again you can even hear Shai ask Tommy , is his fish not ready yet. Tommy said he wants too cook it a bit more. 34:03 I think its a bit unfair to make negative remarks if you arent watching /listening to the whole video. That allows for misunderstandings to be made. What do you expect him to do > Buy a ton of fish. Everyone have fish to eat, and bring Tupperware or foil , to take some fish home ? Now I know so many Jamaicans that leave aboard and holiday in Jamaica, stay in hotels. They just visit relatives etc. They often don't tell anyone, when their arriving or leaving.
