A quick one night layover in Cancun while on our way to Guatemala turned into an unexpected adventure. The little suburb we were staying in was not the dreamy spot we expected along with the fact our flight to Guatemala delayed for about 6 extra hours.
Puerto Morelos was an unexpected dream and the perfect quick uber ride away from the Cancun Airport.
Side note, beware taxis from the airport.. They will F you over royally. Do your research in advance on how to find the ADO, book a shuttle or even pay for your taxi in the airport.. Literally anything other than paying for a taxi outside of Arrivals.
