Wow I love what was in the writing at the end of this video. That must have been an awesome event. This bus really is like the story of salvation. We were dead in our sins. Buried just like this bus. No hope waiting for our distruction. But Christ saw potential in us even when maybe no one else did. He paid the ultimate price for us while we were yet sinners. Anyone in Christ has been washed clean. Who else would have thought this could be cleaned. Sometimes it seems we let him down just like this bus tried to quit on you. He keeps restarting us. He keeps cleaning us. We can't run on the filth of this world( like bad gas) any longer and we can't become stagnant. I can promise you brother he will not give up on us though. He won't lose interest. He can use us to bring more people to him and most of all he loves us as evidenced by what he has done for us. So I guess the only difference is we have to be willing to let him work on us. I sure am glad you were able to give new life to this bus.

I'm, pretty sure this guy fixed the bus. This guy actually exists. :/
Your doing God's work......(literally)
From Russia, with love)) I'm a fan of buses. And your bus, Fire!!! How beautiful he is!
This is the most anticipated video on Facebook right now
That little girl can draw a crowd. She should charge admission.❤P.S. I love what you have done with the bus.❤🇺🇸🐘
I would like to see the church members reaction when you drive up in the driveway.
It’s just as enjoyable to see the kids and everybody seeing it the second time. But that open door was bothering me the whole time
Totally awesome!!! Also that the bus just happened to be a church bus that was brought back to life! WTG!!!
That's cool 😎 I love vintage. My home and ride is a 1976 , peace ☮️✌️🇺🇲
For those who are wondering why the driver normally started off in 2nd, is because 1st was really classified as a "deep under" gear. These transmissions were called the "Compound" transmissions. In the mid to late 1980s, the progressive transmissions came out and if you have a 4-speed progressive box. that would mean all 4 gears are usable. Compound transmission often had a deep under in 1st. So with 4 possible speeds, you only have 3 of them that were truly usable on the highway. With this bus having a pretty loud engine, the deep under was for sure a pretty heavy screamer. But sometimes on a historic piece of equipment, I love hearing the deep under gunned up close to the governor.

That’s good information. The 5 speeds that I learned on were almost the same way.
Love the sound of the trans gear noise! Brings back memories!!!!
Glad you found the fuel and starter issues before the trip, safe travels my friend
I'm so proud of you for all the hard work yo did to revive an icon of yesterday . Keep up the great work .

Thank You! I really appreciate that!
Whotta trip this ol girl has had, (you too ;~). I can't believe how good that old bus looks right now. Cleaned up beyond what you could expect. A little body patch for the rat hole, perhaps flashing school bus lights for the back, (did that year have flashing lights for the front?). It would be amazing to see the interior redone. Stop the rust inside and out, new paint, and you will have a bus fit for showing off even more. Good job to see this bus became your passion to stick with it and do your best. I think you got a rewarded for your efforts .
Wow I Iove what was in the writing at the end of this video. That must have been an awesome event. This bus really is like the story of salvation…

Hey I really appreciate that! 🙏🏻 😊
Great job on that old bus. Like how you keep it as original as possible. It is as old as I am. Hope you have many years of enjoyment from driving it.
Spiderhole Customs......those guys are awesome. Kelly does AMAZING custom work!!!
You’ve made a “lifetime” moment for your daughter! Way to go dad!
Love the sound of those gears 👍
Great job on the bus. I would love a sticker.
Fantastic! I loved the kids' reactions at the school. That thing seems to really get up and scoot. Oh yeah and I love the vintage style license plate. Hope you have a great time at the reunion!
Amazing, You've gone so far and done so much to bring this beauty back to life, I wish you the best on your trip!
Pretty cool having Dad pick you up, from school, in your own antique school bus! Man I hate you're having trouble with the tank and other things, but HEY, considering how far you've come, ya just gotta shake the bugs out of her! Great Job!!!!!
Dame what a cool ride and it’s a Ford. Your next project is to twin pipe it and make the engine rumble. Those old Ford gearboxes do have a noisey whine to them. Love the old Ford buses and pickup trucks.
What a beautiful old machine! Thanks for having us along! Good luck on the trip. Cheers Terry
Congratulations to you. You made a great effort on the bus. It is an excellent job. Well done. I wish you success. I am happy and honored to meet you. My sincere thanks and pride to your honorable side convey my greetings to the honorable family. Thank you 👍🚞👍

You have to paint the wheels yellow 🤓👍👍👍
good afternoon.and this is howling from a box or a bridge .very wonderful bus))
Love the reaction to the bus at the school.
Man, she was SOOOOOO excited! So were the parents! So cool!
Change the oil more often than recommended, Y blocks tend to gum up and are sensitive in their oil galleries to the rockerarms. Love the bus.😎
Runs like an old Ford should, running great!
It is purring like a kitten! But boy, did it take a lot of blood, sweat and tears!!
You've done a heck of a lot of work on that bus and it's looking / working fine!!! Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Thats so awesome. Still afew bugs, but it's going and driving well. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 Have a awesome time there.
Yes Bud u come a long with this oh bus u got to be proud to do such a great job on it. We are for sure. Safe trip. PEACE
she's came a long ways ...that y block is sounding healthy...after the reunion we need to see if we can find a 5 speed for those highway travels...easier on the motor and cheaper on gas ...keep rockin and rollin Jason

This bus looks and sounds like it's ready to come out of retirement, and be put back in service again.
Good job 👏 I like your job keep old bus or cars like new
Good call on the bypass, that's sludge will get stuck around the valves and make them sticky.
Well she looks great and seems to run perfectly !!! Keep up the good work !!!!!
Hope you made it to the church. Looking forward to seeing the reunion.
Been a year! How time flies when you're having fun eh? Amazing how good she was under all that crud. All she needed was you!
The bus is looking and sounding so good! You've done such a great job getting her back on the road! God speed on the trip to the Church and then back home. I look forward to seeing the work that you will be doing in the future to make the bus even more road worthy and reliable. Thanks for your persistence and hard work, brother!

Hey Jason, the bus is back, oh yeah, the clutch seems to be working good, you were bummed when the horn wouldn't work at the school, but looks to be all fixed for next time, talk to you soon buddy

just so cool, love that horn
The ol bus looks really good buddy!!! Shouldn't be too hard to eventually put a mechanism under the bus to fix the inner door!!!
Thanks!
Great video You did a great job of bringing the bus back to life

Amazing. Thank you, for taking us all along with you on this journey. I know how much I have enjoyed watching your progress. I'm sure everyone else feels the same way. Wishing you 🤍🌼💐
Great job getting the bus up and running. I believe the starter button is supposed to be where you have the headlight switch and vice versa.
Awesome update!
I really wish I was a kid again!🤧🤧🤧🤧😭😭😭😭
Prayers for a safe and eventful trip. Wish I could be there.
I've been watching since day one, and what a great job you did! A real labor of love! Thanks for the video.
Great video brother , Thank you !!
Welcome back my friend.
You can buy big ass truck fuel filters the size of a soup can at Napa. They still have the small 5/16 or 1/4 inch inlet and outlet but they hold a lot of garbage before they plug. I have found that by the time you have replaced a couple or three of them the fuel tank will sort itself out unless its really bad.
Best of luck to y'all on your journey. " Two roads diverged in a wood and I - l took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." R. Frost
Hey , great find on the bus . What would I do ? Upgrade the running gear ,change the gear ratios so you have a nicer drive . Maybe swap a 5.0 litre from a modern truck and transmission, or a diesel engine. Upgrade the brakes to power vac assist with 2 stage master , front disc would really help you stop . I would probably change the rear end to a modern ish truck rear end for ease of parts availability. Really cool project ,I like it . Cheers Gary.

Hey Thanks! Totally sounds like a great idea! I been thinking of doing a chassis swap with a modern vehicle. Make it much better to travel. Cheers!
Give the engine oil a sniff and make sure it doesn't smell gassy.
Great video, nice to see the old bus running and that you managed to overcome the issues with the fuel. Look forward to the next video.
May God bless you and be with you and your family. Enjoy your trip. Sending love and prayers!
that is awesome, maybe a red indicator light to remind you of the fuel pump?
Great video. There is nothing like the sound of a classic V8 and classic manual transmission.Suggestion. Put all the seats in. And put the overhead flashers back in They don’t have to be original.
Love it ! I have to find me one of those
Man I love your vids man there so cool to watch😄
Can't wait to see everyone's faces at the church! :)
Man, you were grinning from ear to ear, when you drove that bus. Very well done. She is moving once again. Drive safe. Cheers from Finland.

You made an "unsafe at any speed" bus with that fuel cell placement in the back, haha. :)
It's looking great mate, all the best to you and your loved ones
Great 👍 Job my friend safe travels to the church can't wait to see there reactions
I wish you ALL THE BEST, I'm sure with your dedication and hard work all will turn out great!!
