Hey Everyone, Thanks for viewing our video of the restoration of this 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 twin turbo sports car. The car was a true New England Barn find in Massachusetts with only 23k miles on the vehicle when found. The mice had gotten the best of this car but was able to repair everything but was very challenging. This project consisted of brake repair, engine repair, powder coating, exhaust repair, interior cleaning, interior restoration, new wheels and tires, heating / cooling system repair and so much more This 3000Gt vr4 had been sitting in the garage off the road since 1993 but is a special limited edition car because of the twin turbo option and active aero system which made it a true track car that you could buy new from the factory. I wish car manufactures made vehicles as neat as they did back in the day. Watch the video for more details!

My 93' has 63k original miles. Original paint as well. When I bought the car from the original 1 owner she had purchased the car off the showroom floor. She was kind enough to sell it to me along with the original receipt and showroom booklet. Beautiful car thank's for sharing!

It's an amazing machine
I had a 93 VR-4 my senior year, and it was amazing.
Personally, I ,impatiently ,await for the next video from Greg and the guy’s at “GREG’s RESTORATIONS “ always thorough, informative,and great footage editing to boot. Can’t wait to visit the shop again in the near future!!!!!

Such a beautiful car. I wish I could somehow go back in time and be wealthy enough to buy one of these brand new. I wasn't born till 95. Maybe one day I can afford to buy one before they completely disappear.

That's an amazing specimen, such low mileage **Actually, they didn't dominate the market, compared the other competitors (supra, rx-7, 300zx) it sold pretty low numbers
Looks like New!! excellent work, mine is 93 black too, and I did a lot of work and improvements

Под чёрный цвет автомобиля, диски не должны быть тоже чёрного цвета, они теряются на фоне тёмного проёма арок и кажутся меньше чем есть на самом деле. Диски надо выделять ярким цветом, иначе их просто плохо видно. К данному цвету машины, лучше всего золотой цвет дисков, бронза, светло-серый (Титан), серебристый, хром.Очень важен размер дисков, на данную модель лучше всего будет 20".

Is there a mod to open the headlights partially? There's a C5 that does it and has LED headlights

No it's just open or closed with headlights on or off. There might be a mod but I'm not aware of it

@@gregsrestorations7019 Found it 😅 super easy too. Pop the hood, there's two boots on either side by the lights. Pull those off. There's a nob you turn counter clockwise and done in about 30s. You need to have the light up first. Randomly found it like 2min ago. It's called the 3000GT Sleepy Eye mod. I'm assuming this the same on the C5 too and other pop up headlights. When I get a another 3S I'll be doing this and the little wire trick where you can make DRL out of the little clear lens. I want to change my head lights to a custom afterarket LED. The Vette used 3 little LED cubes. Looks cool I think. It also keeps the drag down more.
