I reckon every UK winter mile is worth at least 3 spring/summer miles! It always feels harder in the cold! Respect to you both 👍🏻

I agree, I always say 40 miles in winter is like 60- 70 in summer. Respect to Amy and Kyle.
It's -12c and I'm about to go out on a ride. This has given me some inspiration.
Winter miles summer smiles 😊
Great ride, well done both. Amy, I'm a 6'3 bloke in his 50's and I'm blaming you for the fact that every animal I pass on my rides now gets a cheery "Hello!". Yea, thanks for that. 🙂

You’re both amazing and inspiration to us all. I don’t know how you guys do it to get up so early in the morning then ride all that way to the event and then ride the event. Amazing ❤❤
Your fitness level is incredible. I have a long way to go in 2024 to get anywhere near to doing something like this. Well done.
New subscriber here, been binge watching all your previous vids and it’s been great! Such a great channel, been lacking motivation to get out on the old push iron lately but these videos have definitely helped get the spark back! Especially since I’m only about 15 “miloneys” from the peaks! Thanks for the great content you 2!
Just come across your channel- love it and like you I am an Audax fan - cant beat their value and friendliness. Looking forward to seeing more from you xx
well done everyone! epic ride! you guys are so young and full of life. I can remember a time a few years ago I was the same and blow me I am 61 now ! 😁 enjoy it and have fun! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Your video was an instant mood-lifter, like a burst of joy from a Disney movie! The Yipees and Sheepies are just too cute. Subscribed and sending warm greetings from the Philippines.
I love the life you two are living. Very inspiring.
Miss Amy, Both you and Kyle are beasties knocking out that ride. Thank you very much for sharing an awesome video. I not be a cold weather person so much respect to you both.

@@rivergladesgardenrailroad8834 in my case, the problem is finding the motivation to simply get ready in order to actually get out of the door with my bike. Even getting all of my kit ready the night before isn't enough. Once I do actually get out then I'm away, instantly happy again and I'll pedal all day!
Congrats on the Audax!
Cheers Amy, I can't blame Kyle for this...every passenger who sits in my car thinks I'm a complete buffoon. Every single animal, excluding horses ( I don't like horses), gets my sheepeeeee, coweeeee etc etc, at loud volume, treatment😂 Top content as always, keep peddling you two.

Some good editing there which helps with flow and bringing the ride together. Envious of the scenery, looks like a great event. Certainly echo thoughts of others about UK winter riding, but you'll reap the benefits come March.

No overshoes aagghh! they are a winter must. I have a pair of Dexshell winter overshoes and they brilliant for £35 you get at least 3 winters out of em. Stay warm you'll ride better for sure. Some mileage that you two, crikey. Ive done 142 miles this week and thought was doing well, weather considering. Amy, yes, you looked much better on the bike for sure now you have the specced saddle.
Well done for the ride. Hard in the cold I am sure. Keep up the great content. 😊

-10C this morning in Dallas TX with icy roads. No ride for me. 😞
i got a pair of neoprene toe covers that go inside your shoe and only cover the toe area They help keep your feet warm block the wind, any air that comes in from the bottom and don’t sweat your feet
We'd love to hear how the bike fit helped Amy on these longer rides?

The enthusiasm from you both is inspiring. After having a total hip replacement at the end of November, your videos are keeping me sane! @amy.cycling.adventures

It’s the long distance cycling association ☺️ yes you can get an annual membership if you want to get points which gives you cheaper entry, but the entry is never usually more than £10 anyway! They have a website where you can see the rides

PS I am massively curious to see if your "hold it all in" technique re topbar works for me ... or what other chaps do in similar situations. Assume peeing anywhere/in someone's garden/down an ally etc is verboten
Hi Amy,ive been riding about 12 years now i am 52 year old male and 60 miles is more than enough for me.The mileage you are doing seems unthinkable to me,how many hours/sessions do you do a week, any tips for upping my miles... Thanks Mark

Awesome! Hope you enjoy your rides! The main thing is enjoying yourself it’s not all about the miles ☺️ I love the long distance, I work full time so most of my riding is at the weekend during the winter months but I usually do two weekend rides and 2-3 week rides, the week rides are 1-2 hours weekend 3-10 hours depending on what I’m doing! I just built it up over time ☺️

238 km in January? Really I bet half the ride was in the dark? No sorry too early in the year for those sort of rides days are too short not enough daylight plus it’s too cold and windy. Talk about taking a hobby to extremes I have other hobbies I want to do, instead of spending every waking hour on a bloody bike. I love my cycling but not that much.
