Because they’re an extremely popular and visible group. Kpop fans always need something to hate on. It fuels their endless misery. I don’t think there’s much hate now. But during the Girls era…wow. I’m a new My (though I’ve always liked Aespa’s music), and I was astounded at all the negativity surrounding that release. People saying they have no stage presence, the dance break was awkward, the choreo was lacking in energy…what a bunch of bullshit. I love Girls. The dance break is iconic.

they're popular, they're pretty, their releases peak high on music charts, they have a lot of fans, they make a lot of money. they're all talented too which can't be said for all idols in the industry at this time. it's exactly the kind of group kpop fans love to hate on. plus, they didn't have the best stage presence in their first few comebacks so some people thought they deserved the relentless bullying.

Ningning's live vocals are so consistently good and vibrant. And to think she's covering a lot of Giselle's rap lines as well. What a superstar

This just proves that Giselle also contributes big to the group. She may be the least popular among them but that doesn't mean she isn't a prominent member. I mean Ningning really did a great job covering most of Giselle's parts but Giselle just gives off a different vibe with her lines that make them iconic. And the small talks and interactions weren't as natural without their English-speaking member. Hope she's well now and be present in their next stage.

Despite Gigi being absent, it's amazing that almost all of the songs they performed were actually played by live bands! It's even crazier because Main Vocalist Ningning did Gigi's rap parts! I don't regret having her as my bias, she never disappoints despite having such a pure voice that can hit killer high notes! Karina was amazing during her center dance break and of course, Ningning aswell but we cannot forget about our Minjeong, she truly is stunning with her visuals, vocals, and dance! This performance was surely amazing, more performances and achievements to come to Aespa! Hwaiting~!

I've comeback here after aespa's drama era. And im still shocked at how well ningning live singing but not save her energy at dancing at all. She is doing hard at dancing but still manage to hit those high note stably + covering many of gissele part +hyping up the audience. She is born to be performance after all

Karina on the other hand dont sing high notes. Ning hype the crowd, dance likeno tomorrow and its their first live ever with a huge crowd, she was a bit nervous and she was catching her breath, cuz Ning is their only salvation with the NO STAGE PRESENCE allegation. Karina and Winter may be the "better" dancers, but NingNing's stage presence is undeniable. I feel like with performances in Korea, audiences don't care if idols are lip-syncing because it's all about the visual and performance. But American audiences don't necessarily need the performance to look or sound perfect. They want charisma and charm, and live vocals for sure. And I think NingNing provides that for the American audience.

And obviously Giselle speaks fluent English which helps. I hope they can do more performances in America and become more comfortable performing, ad-libing, and engaging with the audience.
