2300+ Hour Satisfactory Montage
Ойын-сауық
Dubbed, the Terafactory, or "Terror" factory by the developers is my longest running vanilla-ish playthrough. I say "ish" because I have a few quality of life mods that basically help keep me on track and efficient. Efficiency checker to ensure proper connections on belts/pipes and an accidental expanded inventory mod, but at this scale, I still make trips constantly.
I started this save file on October 26th 2020 at 6pm on my live stream and have been streaming it ever since. It is a work in progress averaging about 26hrs a week with little to no AFK time. It has underwent many many changes from update 3 all the way to present with plans to keep at it until we reach our goal of maxing every single resource node on the map.
Thanks for all those who have been along for the journey, and if you haven't checked out my live streams, you definitely should! 2 minutes isn't enough time to show the entire thing, but to give just a taste!

@@BLAndrew575- seriously, i have 600+ hours worth of building and hundreds of hours off game worth of calculations just to build a single turbofuel powerplant for 250k watts, that's before decorating it nicely. i literally skipped trains and do all my transport by conveyors or drones simply because they require less brain power even though they're more resource intensive. tl;dr i have over 1000 hours on the game and i am blown away by the sheer patience, creativity, and efficiency of my fellow ficsit employees
I will never again wonder if the game will handle what I'm building. That was amazing!

This shouldn't be 2 minutes, but 20 minutes. Amazing work!

This music fit so well the Satisfactory theme. Nice video and very good montage. impressive work on your base. It's a Like !

One day you will! I build really big factories, some of which are the largest ever built in game. Because of that, its nothing to spend months on one factory, but what really keeps me engaged and hooked on a project is streaming it. The Satisfactory community is absolutely amazing, supportive, highly knowledgeable, and SUPER fun to engage with. But Ficsit for sure hasn't stranded me on that planet forcing me to build factories!
Едрить колотить! Это лучшее, что я видел в Satisfactoty!! Напоминает мне Челябинск. Там так же дымно и много промышленных заводов)))

You're producing more screws per minute than every single item I move around across the whole map in my current save that completed Phase 4. Not just 1, not 2, but 3 times more screws than every piece of ore, cubic meter of liquid, ingot, and part combined to finish the final phase of the game. I use a lot of alternate recipes to make it that way, but still, that's an absurd amount of screws.
@BLAndrew575-
Жыл бұрын
It mainly was a challenge by the devs to make that many a minute lol When I calculated how many screws I needed, it came to 68,800, so of course I had to adjust it to meet that goal XD

Hey man quick question, when you were planning, how did you plan the layout of the building? That looks like such a daunting task and I want to do similar stuff but I have no idea where to start. Another question, how far out do you plan? Did you get everything done before hand or did you improvise at certain points?
@BLAndrew575-
Жыл бұрын
Happy to answer! I've found laying out the first floor and building a platform for it is a good place to start, often doing that can give a building a more unique shape too. For the HMF building I just started with a rectangle that was 83x113 foundations. Basically just enough space for the 630 refineries needed so I knew all the other floors were big enough for the rest. I also don't do the detail until the factory is functional and in this, extended the size to 117x87 and added over 2.5 million concrete worth. I do plan those kinds of builds out using my own flowcharts I make on appdiagrams.net often times months in advance. (Ratios, belts needed, basic layouts if belts need merged or split primarily) The HMF took over 100hrs of planning. But as for how far out I plan, typically a year in advance. Like I know what major things I'll be doing that year. But the finer details I plan as I need them. Like after the power plant I knew i would tackle max aluminum, HMF or nuclear then determined which I needed first. Can always switch them around if needed too. Even though I plan most of it out ahead of time, most stuff I leave for the moment I'm building it to figure it out. Like how to layout 555 foundries to make 33,300 steel ingots. That would be immense to plan out every detail beforehand. One of the things I've found better to just figure out as I build. But most of everything shown was built one piece at a time as I was finishing the last bit of the heavy frames as blueprints dropped. For me the building aspect is my favorite part so even needing 50k water and running all the pipes I still found immensely fun and challenging. Hope that helps!
It honestly looks like a Las Vegas casino from a distance.
Are there any nodes left to mine? Love your work! You are nuts but i love it

The power plant is easily the most laggy part. If you look at the pipes that feed the 2500 generators, it sets at less than 10fps. But before update 6, this save was running 7fps everywhere. Now its usually 40-60fps depending on where you are. They have been able to heavily optimize the game using this save. I had to have one scene showing some lag as I didnt want to make it seem like it always ran perfect, there is a downside to building massive things unfortunately :)
So cool !!!
Great work! Is it possible to get the save to walk through the plant by myself?

I have no way to know how much for sure, but before update 6, save times were around 11 minutes. After that, they shortened to just 3 minutes, but it still adds up. But also keep in mind save times aren't logged when the game is saving so the total time is playtime. But now you've got me wondering how many hours this save has spent just saving. Has to be 300-500hrs at least once the 3 years I've been in this save lol

Oh it lags pretty heavily lol 20-40ps but that's the price you pay for builds this massive. But my lag is coming from overloading the game engine. My hardware isn't even stressed 50% and I'm at 7x the build limit. But the video is 60fps because I use the ficsit cam mod to record. It's the only way to get recordings at a decent fps. No matter how bad or low the frame rate is, it always outputs video in 4k 60fps. I use it for all my recordings! 😊
Color me absolutely flabbergasted
