Thank you so much. After searching many videos, I have got this one and it actually helped me.
Great video Prof. Walid, thank you very much!
Excellent explanation. Thank you very much.
Exellent explanation, very clear. Thank you
15:44 the chart in the middle only applies to inductive loads. For resistive load ids wont max while vds is still high. The transition together over the miller plateau. Also on the simplified chart to the right, the exponential part of the curve shouldnt look like diode curve, but charging cap curve where is rises fast initially and then slows. Regarding the two caps shown in parallel as equivalent, this works after the plateau. During the plateau, cgd appears bigger than it is due to a multiplicative factor from miller effect.

Excellent video, thank you
Very Nice explanation sir!! Thanks a lot
Actually God bless you , amazing as usual
thank you very much Mr Walid excellent explication

thank you very much
Great job
Exellent explanation doctor Walid. I have a question about the gate current . When i calculate it the results differe between the two equation (the one using the capacity and the other using the gate charge). So, wich of those equation give the optimum gate current? And, how to calculate this current during the turn off time?
清晰明了👍

Great video
I thought Rds was a slope of Id vs Vds curve?
Salam prof walid . The slope of the transfer characteristics curve is the transconductance of the mosfet not 1/rds(on) .thank you for your videos
best video
won't the p channel power MOS have current direction from source to gate?
Hi Walid: Very thorough and clear presentation. You are a great teacher with natural ability of teaching. I learn a lot from your videos and also have subscribed to your channel. I like the way you present the important factors from the datasheet of the components that really helps a lot in choosing different MOSFETs and IGBTs and not limiting to just one type. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with the world. Please keep up the good sharing as it is going to help many students who cannot afford to go to after-school learning centers. I liked your videos.
how find voltage drop across the D to S?
Why the Miller plueto is flat?
What is Trench-Mosfet?
👍👍👍
still didnt understand why when the miller is charging the voltage stays almost completely constant.

Because current is going through cgd to lower the drain voltage and stops charging cgs.
Your definition of plateau and related stuff is incorrect. Vgs is not flat after the VDS reaches to zero but it is flat before and during the transition
