It's a shame people completely ignore the fact that Mavs had their whole starting line up injured for more than a month. It's obvious Mavs would have had atleast like 5 wins more low balling it and they would be battling for those top west seeds. The dude has by far the highest standards out of everyone in the league, expected to average a 40 point triple double while being one of the best in the competitive west. This guy deserves the mvp acollade this season

The argument that his team doesn’t win enough for him to win mvp is so lame. They finished the season with the 6th best record in the league but because the west is so competitive they are the 5th seed. I could understand the argument if they were a .500 team but they finished 50-32 and he should win mvp

I think he's the most talented player in the league. Would be a MVP favorite if the Mavs were 4th or 5th

He’s a bigger version of harden. I love both of them but they didn’t change the game like mike and curry. They are the smartest and most crafty players I’ve seen but they aren’t making the whole league build new rosters just to stop them.

He seems to me to be the NBA version of Pele. Not fancy except for when it suits him. He just gets the ball where it needs to be at the moment it needs to get there. He proves that so much more can be done by doing so much less.

As a Dallas resident, I understand the Mavericks org have made the wrong choice on 70% of the decisions they’ve made in the Luka era. It’s sad. But just appreciate the show this dude has put on while he’s been stuck here. Look at these plays from 3-4 years before his prime lol. I have zero doubt he’ll be a champion eventually, would be cool if it was in Dallas.

He really isnt that slow. If you watch you see he isnt just bumping dudes all the way down to the basket every time. He is legit getting his shoulders by guys on straight drives to the rim. It looks weird because of his body proportions but he is probably about average for an nba athlete at his size

Seen him do this many times and wondered the same. Once you stop dribbling your pivot must stay on the floor unless you jump and shoot, but picks up his pivot and leans on his other foot ...i assume it's a travel but I'm not familiar with all the pivot rules nowadays

Hes the slowest offensive player ive ever seen that is this successful. In an era of ridiculous speed and power, he definitely stands out while having neither lol. Amazing. He even has one of the slowest setup/releases, yet ye constantly draining 3s. None of it makes sense 😅

How can you watch this and say he's not the best basketball player ever? It doesn't even look like he's trying. LeBron and Kobe were great but you could tell they tried hard.
