The reason for the deliberate trained twists in the main stalks. The twists symbolizes the TURNING of fortune/luck from bad/normal to good. Thats why its trained into spirals instead of squares or other shapes . Whether it works is another thing ha ha. Hope this helps clarify

Mine are beautiful. I had bought a arrangement when I was in college, about 12 years ago, and I still have 2 stalks of the 5 left. I have 4 other arrangements that I bought on clearance from Lowe's about 4 years ago and they are doing great. What I'll mention is when the stalk grows the lower leaves die and I pluck them off and that seems to help. And another thing, I keep mine in my bathroom with all my other plants, which is very bright indirect light, and they love it. They grew super fast and respond very well to it.

I shifted from water to soil and it’s growing beautifully. Had grown almost 4 feet. I’ve cut to 2 feet from the top and used the cut one cut to a size around 4 inches, put them in water and they to have started getting roots. Plants need lots of love and care. Changing water regularly helps all plants that are kept in water. Yes I absolutely believe that in rain water plants look happy and grow healthier. .

Great video Nell! You mentioned about the plants Pet Safety they are toxic, toxic to ingest for animals but I HAVE to tell you, they are safe to keep in aquariums or ponds and safe for fish and other aquatic animals! helps maintain the water pH too by taking out those nitrates the fish give off. I have 3 stalks in with my 5 goldfish and I'd say they are quite 'Lucky!' Also Riley is such a cute co-host! And Oscar is a handsome boy.

What do you think comes out of those garden hoses you use outside? Are you that dumb that you think these plant stores use purified water in nurseries ? Tell us how does it get purified in big nurseries who use hoses to water all there plants? Your tap water and your bottled water is manipulated by man ! Go drink from rivers and streams then your so called purified water bottles!

The sprial shape is done by using special plant lights, (as it is a low light/shade loving plant) but they put the lights way to the side & then as the plant grows they just kind of spin or turn the plant so that as it grows it grows in the direction of the light, since it is still basically "seeking out the light"🌱. It seems to me that this is probably somewhat time consuming but I've never tried it myself, so TBH, IDK 4sure..?!? But I do know that is how it's done. 👌🏼😜👍🏼

Good morning Joy and yes I totally agree with you. My Mom just last Friday, gifted me two baby Lucky Bamboo shoots that she rooted in water. I put them in water in a cute little white ceramic pot with marbles to anchor them and dechlorinated water tucked in a low light corner of my kitchen. Since then, the stalks have started to turn yellow so I removed them from the pot and marbles, and placed them in a clear jar with new water just a few feet from my southeast-facing window. I hope they recover.😊

I bought a Lucky Bamboo recently. I watched a few vids on transplanting and learned it can grow in water or soil. So I transplanted to a larger vase with no drainage hole. I put a couple inches of pea pebbles in before the potting soil. The grower had planted it in potting soil. So far, so good.👌🏼 I did some research on Lucky Bamboo to find out about toxicity and pets. What I found said it was ok with pets.🤷🏼‍♀️

If the stalks turn yellow, it’s best to prune it. After cutting off the yellow part, seal it with candle wax so no bacteria can get in the open wound. Also to prevent root rot or yellowing, never put gravel or water retentive gel balls over their roots. If y’all are using gravel, make sure the stalks are above the gravel. Never use water retentive gel balls, they may contain chemicals that may rot the roots of your lucky Bamboo, that happened to unfortunately. Hope this helps y’all :) 🎋🌱💚
