Geez… spending more on electronics than my boats worth! Haha I’m just happy with the 10in garmin with livescope

Great info on this advanced product and I’m most impressed with the savings, that goes along with the quality and to hear just how long it’s been in development and the 8th generation leads me to believe that NBT has done everything possible to stand up and even go beyond Garmin’s standards, which is extraordinary in my opinion. I am definitely looking forward to part 2 and sharing this with a few of my clubs and their members here in Raleigh North Carolina 💯🍀😎

Very interesting concept here! As someone who has run some crazy set ups lol this is intriguing. I ran a 19 Apex at console plus x 2 16 Garmin 8600's and a 10 Garmin at bow last year.:) on a Caracal. It was a bit too busy to be honest. Love your channel and your Puma STS reviews pushed me to purchase a beautiful 2023 Puma STS with 300 Merc Pro XS. I went for a more streamlined and one network system on the new rig. I currently have the 16 Garmin at console and a 16 Garmin for scope with a 12 stacked on top for mapping and 2D/DI at bow. I am thrilled with this rig. Keep up the great work and let me know if you ever want to connect for a call or I can send you pics. I am in Ontario Canada close to the St-Lawrence River. My buddy has a very innovative marine electronics shop near by and has done some really cool stuff for a few of us tournament nuts up here. Take care! Dave

I was so interested in this comparison until the very end. After almost clicking “buy it now”, I started laughing and snapped out of it at the last minute. 😂

Pretty cool......funny your video comes out today and Garmin now has a 4K display unit from 19" on up for the off shore boats....i would be that some bass/crappie guy will want a 4k unit soon.....😂😂

there is nothing wrong with a fortrex. In some ways i think it is better than the ultrex or force. ive had pretty much all of them. Had 2 ultrex and both of those had issues. Have a force now and it is great, but turning the tm to line up livescope isn't the easiest. Fortrex just worked and was always reliable.

Cornfield crappie sells a gimbal mount for the 8600 series 16 to the 24 also sell a mount for the NBT

Interesting, I’d mount it reverse, a 22” in the console split screen sonar, maps, gauges, Livescope. Then a 12xsv on the bow. Nice! Good video!

This is why folks even at the elite series level feel the need for rules & regulation. I knew the day would come that 16 or 18in screens would not be the largest available. The competitive urge to have the best, be the best, regardless of the cost is what’s out of control more than anything. Where does it end? It was crazy yrs ago to think we’d have rigs with 20k in electronics & 6 graphs. BASS wants this unfortunately. They want to tournament pro boat to look like something the average person can’t afford. They have effectively said it on live. That’s not the direction I want the industry to go. It’s a never ending, high speed pursuit to spend more, spend all the money, take a chance on impacting our fisheries populations before we can understand the impacts of the higher fish mortality. It’s just out of hand.

Sounds good but most regular people that work like i do still cant afford much of anything from the marine industry these days with the inflated prices of a name brand bass boat, much less these high priced electronics. Must be nice!

Stop bitching you can get into livescope for around 2500 cheaper if you buy used or on sale. If you really are passionate about fishing and want another tool to help you improve 2500 ain’t nothing how much you got in rods and tackle

Said it before...It is no longer called FISHING, it is now called CATCHING. Takes the real competition of skill out of the picture. Now computer nerds will take over.

I enjoyed the video, but I would never pursue the product. I enjoy fishing to get away from technology and enjoy nature. I’ve fished since I was was six and ended up in a leadership technology role. It’s paid the bills and I recognize the advancements that can be achieved with technology. It’s just not for me. Why not a 48 or 52 inch monitor? Why not three 22” monitors? Kudos to the creator,, I’m sure many will be lined up to bye. What has become of our sport? It’s sad.

I think I’d just go with the 8 though series that has an hdmi out and connect it to a monitor that $200. Yes I know you can’t control the monitor but have the unit right with the monitor for controls.

Yes I know the regular monitor isn’t waterproof or can handle the heat but I don’t fish in the heat.

Cant control it but smallest cheapest HDMI output head unit + 50 inch big screen tv

Ron, that’s in part 2, but if you go from 4 fishfinders to 2 fishfinders and 2 screens you go down in power consumption. The 22’s burn similar using the black box as a 16” FF unit

It's already known that if you get any of the 88 series or GPS map 10" or bigger they come with av input

12v rv tv... get 55" if you want. Lol

Only problem is they are always sold out 😂. I’m totally gonna buy once they become available. Edit: I see they are in stock now. Dammit, didn't need another huge winter purchase 😂
