Yknow what deadeye this gave me some pretty interesting combo starters/ finishers and combos in general

ashura used to be mid because you could js use chaos 3rd or Raion Ren 1st but now it can fully stagger autododges and great combo extender

The bad thing about nearly all of these starters is the predictability factor. It's not like all of these are super easy to avoid, but the bad part is that they start off with EXTREMELY obvious moves like ashura 1st, alphirama 3rd, chaos 1st, and so on. Using these kinds of moves kind of signals to ur opponent ur trying to start a combo, so it would be much better if u simply stuck with fast-casting block breakers, things like Maru daggers or wind ken q spec, and maybe a teleporting move if u are too far away, like senko 1st or snake race e spec. Using those obvious moves gives ur opponent more time to develop counter play compared to instant or near instant block breakers.

Well there’s two problems with this statement, one the “predictability” part is completely false no one can tell what move your going to use just by hand sign alone bc that would be just yknow crazy, second thing these can easily switched up or moved around to make the opponent even more confused, or if your like me I make a completely random thing out of it and still beat the crap out of someone

@@darkwraith8766 ur telling me u wouldn't be able to tell when someone tries to use a move like alphirama or ashura? These moves have long hand signs and are pretty recognizable, so even if u don't know what move specifically it is u can tell it will most likely be easy to avoid if it has 3+ obvious hand signs. Some moves also have extra start-up, like chaos 1st and the ball that appears or chaos 2nd and the sword and sound queue you make before slamming it down. Plus, just seeing ur opponent use hand signs means they are going to use a move so u should be on guard regardless of whatever move it ends up being. If u need to use another move or moves just to land a move, it most likely isn't the best. I shouldnt have to teleport behind my opponent just to have a chance of landing a move or something, it should just be fast enough to be landed by itself. Not saying all moves that are helped by other moves are bad, but if a move relies on another move to be good then just ditch it for something good by itself so then when u do use it with other moves u get even better results. A move that's mid by itself and good with other moves will always be worse than a move good by itself and great with other moves. Even if u still disagree with me, at the end of the day I have pretty mid reaction times and I can still easily react to most of the moves on that list, whereas actual decent block breakers like Maru daggers will usually land on me if the opponent doesn't make it obvious with pyromania 6th or something. I don't really need to prove how bad some of the moves on this list are in these comments, I can just do it by playing competitive in my free time.

you can use ashura shisen 2nd with ashura ruby 2nd without cd
