The first one barely pricked and the second didn't at all, I couldn't use the fourth one!!!

Just did this with my kids. Three of them are AB-, one is A+. That’s crazy, three with the rarest blood type.

Hi, does it make sense that the area of where I pocked in my finger, still burning me 3 days after I did it?

I kinda screwed up my Eldoncard a little bit. I poked myself but I still feel I didn’t put enough blood on the Anti-D circle and the Control circle. I know that I am AB though. But my friend did say that if you look closely, the third circle did react a little, and that means I am Rh positive.

I needed to put a couple drops of water, my samples did not fill the entire bubble with one drop.

Dumb question but is there a specific way to dispose the needle?? Or do I just need to be careful of what I’m throwing it away in lol

This likely depends on laws within your state at some level, but probably only for hospitals and clinics and such. If I were just doing one of these at home on myself I would just throw the finger poker in the trash (the needle is encased when done and poses very little risk if any).

Does it matter how the agglutination looks like? 2 circles reacted but don't look the same🤔

If you see the clumping up of the cells (agglutination) it's a positive reaction in that circle. Sometimes they might look a bit different, the clumping is the key. The only thing I've seen that can be confusing is that the blood sometimes makes circular/lined patters when it dries... that is not agglutination and not a positive test in the circle. I hope that helps :)

Dry it for a couple of days? Now you tell us! The Eldon video looks like it's dry after a few minutes!

Can you use blood from a bloody nose instead of poking your finger? Poking your finger hurts so bad and I have a bloody nose at very least once a week.

My worry is other contaminants, but blood from a bloody nose might work. You could do it as an experiment and let us know if it seems to work. I wouldn't be certain of the results though 🤔

You would have B+ blood

I’m AB+ positive. Probably the weirdest blood type.

So I'm kinda confused cause I watched another video and for him your results would have been b+ I think cause with his test the A should have been an dark red 😅

Did it hurt? 1-10 pain level?

For me the poke is about a 0.01 out of 10 (but I've been doing this kind of thing for over 30 years)... I've been told that it hurts less than plucking an eyebrow hair.

I just did it and it didn't hurt at all. The worst part is just the nervous build up to actually pressing it down that's scary. I didn't even really feel it at all.

I'm O positive... now I'm wondering why my doctor gave me the rohgam shot when I was pregnant..
