"Extra" was about in the 1990's, we used to say it in school in east london, "salty" was used around 2008/ 2009 when kanye west used it in his song "the good life" "flex" has been used for decades in Jamaica way back since the 80's. The majority of these words were around in usa and Jamaica years/decades ago and English people have only recently picked them up hence u implied a lot of these words came out in 2020.

On fleek was out years ago, it's been used in the USA for a long time, many of these words and phrases are taken from usa and carribean street culture. Then they find themselves embedded in the UK youth culture and some people have the misconception that they're new words. I'm black not that it really matters but I'm making that point hence my carribean roots, believe me when the new "buzz word" begins to make it's way around the uk social media world u can bet your mortgage on it that the same phrase/word has been part of the USA or Jamaican culture for years. Your videos are very interesting and please don't think I am trying to rain on your parade as I did enjoy the video, and yes u are peng lol.😍

@@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah Soz when you say what about peng are u asking what it means or where it's from? If it's the latter then yes peng is one of the few slang words that actually originated in London. Edit: It's dawned on me you're asking how long has "peng" been around, peng has been around since approx 2007, I remember using the word quite regularly lol x

Oops... I only watched half of this video earlier and commented and I just finished watching the whole video and the end was quite awesome, especially the slang word GOAT.. 🐐😍 So, I thought I should write a sentence using the goat and I am taking my loving Sabrah as my example... ❤️❤️ "you are the 🐐 dear as far as my English teachers are concerned... 💕 Take care and have a wonderful day.. 🙏 Yours loving, " Gams... I was always stan of Nikola Tesla. His creations are more than G-O-A-T for me. I never ever ghost 👻 someone, but the wild-world chats out there ghosted me many times... I dunno I am innocent. I'm sir Billy no mates. It's all fault of USA chat users. Chats doesn't worth the time. Love this channel is much better.❤️

Apparently, woke is an expression broadly used among the black community, specially by movements like “Black Lives Matter”. According to some people, the usage of that word by white folks would be “Cultural Appropriation”. That’s why I tend to avoid it as I don’t want to get into a trouble. Never mind... this video was on fleek, you really slayed it. May you two be the G.O.A.T among all English Channels?... Maybe. Believe it, but don’t flex 😬

"ghosting" is a very old term. We used it in the 90s. same meaning. "high key" isn't really usable...it's just people trying to be clever but it's only used in mainstream media.
