I have sat in the cafe where a set of prints from this film were on sale, in Kilkenny. The film and it's music...are something that I am only now remembering to appreciate. But it is a wonderful thing, isn't it? To remember what drew one in when first watched...and see new details, hear the music, feel the story wind around oneself...and this music is one of the best displays as to what traditional Irish Music can be. I love this song so much and did not recognize that it was from The Secret of Kells, and now I am like, but of course, it is. And the psychedelic inspired portion that starts at 2:25 is so darn pleasant I feel like it's 3am on a Sunday at a music festival. #bliss

Every single of these movies, especially thanks to Bruno Coulais' beautiful music are like a fairytale. But in completely different ways. Song Of The Sea feels like a story book, from which all the illustrations jump (hah). Wolfwalkers is like a mysterious myth weaved into our reality with threads of magic. And Kells feels so much like home. Like you are running along the lines of an old manuscript, that tells another beautiful story. These all have such different vibes, but are all united by being great in their own right.
