I don’t think there are other fashion creators on KZread that have developed their lenses so that their viewers are always pushed to engage with the themes. I think Lisa Fevral does this at times, but when I think creators who consistently aim to equip their audience with tools instead of trends it’s always Rian Phin. Often times the themes and methodologies I take away from your videos help me to orient my self in life more than decide which shoes to wear. I’m always taking away things to apply to my discipline and social life. It is possible to be radicalized by a fashion blog 💅❤

Your videos are like a condensed form of meeting with a colleague you've always looked up to for their work and listening to them form a brilliant thesis in three hours of discussion over mugs of cold coffee.

I’m really enjoying your perspective on how fashion designers are world-building/setting up physical spaces that emphasize the ethos of their clothing. The point about the store being set up to illicit connection between customer and staff in this video, but also your whole video on martine rose have been like !!!!!!!!! So exciting to hear and I didn’t even know that was something I would be interested in knowing about. thx so much for sharing, Rian❤

One thing I really like about 20471120 and also Gaultier, beauty:beast, Girbaud, etc is how they were able to subvert traditional clothing styles while creating designs that were functional and comfortable to wear. In particular with Gaultier's stuff, people tend to only focus on his haute couture stuff, he made a-lot of very functional utilitarian clothing with organic materials like wool and cotton...I hate this idea that sustainable, comfortable clothing has to be boring, the dominance of brands like Carhartt in the mens streetwear fashion space is really visually irritating to me.
