By the year 2025 Introducing the Volkswagen T-Roc spy photos. The second generation T-Roc will be Volkswagen's final new car powered by an internal combustion engine, the automaker has announced. Here we have the initial spy images of that particular model. Our spy cameras captured the next T-Roc during its winter testing in Europe. Its subtle camouflage may lead you to believe that there isn't much to see. I wouldn't recommend making a hasty decision just to play it safe. The front of this T-Roc test vehicle is covered in stickers, so we have no idea what the bonnet or headlights will look like. Those details usually make a major impression on how a car is perceived. But its curvier older sibling, the Tiguan, will probably act as a model. If we turn around and look under the rear wheel arch, we can find a comparable design line. But now that the pleat at the belt line is gone, the side of the car looks nicer. Also, the new T-Roc looks more like a crossover coupe than the current model since the rear window is sloped at a steeper angle. Two 1.5-liter mild-hybrid engines with a maximum output of 147 horsepower (110 kW/150 PS), two plug-in hybrid powertrains with an electric-only range of 62 miles (100 km), and two 2.0-liter diesel engines with a maximum output of 268 horsepower (200 kW/272 PS). The future of the T-Roc R is uncertain, but it will most certainly share an engine with the forthcoming Golf R. Although Volkswagen has not yet revealed the new T-Roc's engine lineup, it is safe to assume that it will be recognizable, and probably rather comparable to, the lineup seen in the recently upgraded Mk8.5 Golf. This is because this is the company's final scheduled ICE vehicle. Word on the street is that the most ridiculous T-Roc model will no longer be available. Toss it at the T-Roc Cabriolet; it's not selling well enough to warrant the production costs of a replacement.
