The Scout 101 is the same price as the HD Sportster S. One thing is for sure the Scout 101 looks better than the Sportster S.

Meh, they're about on par imo, but the HD shouldn't have put the large front tire on the S, it ruins it. Some custom Sportster S's I've seen look great.

The new Indian Scout sets a new standard for the class. it is beautiful in contrast to the lumpy over "radiatorised" hose chaotic, exposed wire, A and B sided, bundled up Sportster S and Nightsters. The Indian Motorcycle designers made a stylish machine. And it is a full platform of bikes!

I see alot of hate in the Comments, but im NOT in that Camp, i Actually Like the '25 Bobber. Bigger Motor, Bigger Tank, Fuel Gauge, big Display with Modes Now, and an LED Headlight Standard. Only Issue will be what older Models drop in Price to Now. If you can get a Bobber for like $10k or the 60 for $8k compared to the New One at $15k, will come down to is $5k WORTH the Upgrades.

The adjustable piggyback shocks seems a nice upgrade the earlier models needed. Are they still doing the Rogue option? Hard to tell in the photos in this video as they show different front wheels and fairings but don't talk about which model gets those.

They answered my wish list and then some, so props for that. But the saddle bags still don't have a lock on them, the same complaint I had about the Chief Limited. It makes them useless. No spoke wheels on the Bobber any longer. In the roll out video, they exclaimed the larger gas tank. Is 1/10 of a gallon increase worth the fanfare? The new/old (Victory Octane) motor is very plain, and modern looking. I would love all the modern amenities on my Scout Bobber 20, but the redesign is leaving me a bit cold.

Does the scout 101 remind anyone of the Harley Davidson Street Rod 750 from back in 2017-2020? I know the power isn’t the same or the gauge cluster but many of the other features remind me of the Street Rod. It would have been nice if HD kept making those, it would give the 101 competition and maybe have brought the price down a bit. I think if they kept making the street rod they would have many of the same features that are on the 101. I do like the new scout lineup but I think the price is just a bit too high for an entry into the Indian world of motorcycles.

From what I see there’s a big price increase as who the hell would just buy a Limited + Tech their top of the line and see it loose a good few grand if they tray and off load it a year later. We get $ price but it’s in £’s…… I might aswell get a Chief and pay £20k and customise it slowly.

The new 101 is indeed a beautiful machine alright, however not being a fan of forward foot controls and especially so on higher-performance motorcycles meant for more sporting purposes (read: bikes meant to be ridden on twisting roads at higher speeds) I wish the foot controls on it had been placed more in the mid-position. This then would of course have meant the seat would have needed to be a few inches higher in order for the rider's knees not being uncomfortably bent, however in my case and with a 34 inch inseam, I've never cared about a bike having that low a seat height to begin with. And yes, I do understand that these bikes are considered "Power Crusiers", but still the idea that Indian doesn't seem to offer a variant of their new 101 Scout with more a "Standard" riding position seems a shame to me and thus lessens my interest in ever purchasing one. --Dwight in Arizona/owner of 2016 Indian Springfield, 2002 Triumph Bonneville, 1970 Triumph Bonneville

Why are non-inverted forks still a thing? Maybe save those for the adventure and off-road bikes. This is why people still make fun of American motorcycles. Just get them updated to modern tech. They can still look old if you want.

Few things have soul quite like this in todays market my friend. The iron 1200 is dead. This is the champ now clearly and indian is flexing on the haters i might have to save up the small fortune for one. I enjoy seeing indian kicking butt. They assassinated the competition and then decided to reinvent it better in every way this is good stuff man 😂 1200 segment is in a low spot right now indian is like this unaffected beacon of hope at this point. The honda fury is so bad in comparison. Sportster s is just the ugliest thing. This is the soul man

Sportster S from Harley has a 1250cc Revolution Max for a few years already with a 121hp engine VS Indians new 105hp 1250cc. Indian has to tweak it a littler more. I agree not my style of bike. Just comparing apples to apples. I do believe the Harley has a better resale though. Just my $0.02@@TheAnnoyingBoss

I'd like to see a longitudinally mounted inline 4(like Indian used to make), but with a shaft drive. I'd like to see a slim version of around 1000 cc's, not a behemoth like the Triumph Rocket 3.

Glad Indian has got rid of that awful double pipe setup. Fuel tank is still on the small side. That 101 looks very sharp. Hopefully twin discs will be a customisable option for the rest of the range.

If this new platform is successful, I’m trading the Nightster I just got. For those that claim it has no soul, you have to give the bike it’s soul. It’s always just an object to someone else.

I just need one ride mode... the "performance mode." Program the motorcycle to operate at peak efficiency and leave it alone. The throttle is plenty capable of managing the application of power. Those bikes have too many techy gimmicks to be appealing. If they wanted a performance oriented 101, they should have tuned everything for maximum performance and stripped all the touch screen, ride mode, GPS, keyless start, bluetooth stuff off the bike (added bonus, it might have shed another 30 lbs of crap off the bike). If it doesn't make the motorcycle go faster or handle better, then it should have been tossed in the waste bin. I don't need overly complicated menu systems that will read you your daily affirmations... Just make the bike reliable, and limit the troubleshooting decision tree something that will fit on one 8.5x11 sheet of paper. If I got stranded due to a keyfob not being recognized by the bike because the touch screen Speedo/GPS/Bluetooth/Satellite Radio/Call Connect unit glitched because of the heat from being in direct sunlight, vibration, dust, or water, I would be pissed.
