Good to see they removed the 8 speed TIP gearbox from these

I was waiting on the face lift rs3 launch and was going to decide wether to order it or not. Now I'm seriously thinking of getting the 8y over the 8.5. Or if they haven't messed up the front and rear, plus the interior, I'll grab it and just completely debadge the rear, since there's nothing in the front anyway...

You mean you will get an RS3 badge to the front. Debadging an RS should be illegal

The red stripe for the S or RS really bums me out. Diluting what that truly means. I’m not feeling the simple font either. Who the f hired this team.

The usage of the Audi Sport logo from the S/RS on a basic 150hp front wheel drive A3 that does 8 seconds to 100 km/h, turns me off the car completely. Audi has utterly lost their minds and laugh in the enthusiasts faces.

It's the interior materials in the current A3 that disappoints. Very "plastic", mote like VW and doesn't feel premium. My wife's 2016 A3 feels more premium in both design & materials. I looked at a neighbours new Peugeot 308 GT the other day & I'd take it over the A3.

@harric9864 I own an RS4. I've previously owned S8, S6, A7, A4 & A8, so I think the opinion I offer is an informed one. I was just saying the interior quality of the A3 has gone backwards.

Fair enough. I guess it does depend on how it's equipped I think though you'd need to go to S3 level to get a more interesting /higher quality feeling interior.
