Your deeper Pathfinder2e content will be missed, as you are one of two channels I refer to people when they want/need to learn about pf2e stuff. Here's to hopping your 2024 rocks out!

Man if this year was you not giving 100% to the channel you still did awesome! To be fair I don't think anyone here expects you to place this channel above family emergencies, just be sure to embrace a work/life balance. I DM 5e and I have been learning PF2e and hoping to play for the first time in 2024! The positivity and common decency you and other TTRPG creators have is inspirational. Keep up the good work! Best wishes for 2024!

Looking forward to the new videos in the new year! I hope to also see some new non-news series items, such as actual play collabs, first impressions of other systems, storytelling of your campaigns, etc. When it goes to PF2E youtubers you have the largest personality and expressiveness in my experience, and I really enjoy hearing the voice in playlists and reruns, and news is harder to enjoy for that.

My condolences for your rough year. And I’m happy to hear you’re going to be doing things you enjoy. I definitely wish you well but I doubt I’ll take the journey with you. There’s already way too few PF2 KZread creators for my taste, and that’s primarily why I come to this channel. And frankly I’m not interested in yet ANOTHER channel with a talking head rambling on about their opinion on topics they seem rather ill suited or too ill informed to cover. If the last month was anything like what the future holds for the channel, I can’t imagine I’ll stick around here too long. You have a big following with what I assume is a large loyal group tucked in there, so I’m sure you’ll thrive even when the folks like myself are gone. I certainly hope so; You seem like a cool guy and you clearly deserve a better 2024 than was your 2023. Good luck!

How about a class guide for each of the new Pathfinder 2E Remastered content? Walk us thru the classes or even make a character based off each class. If this is Paizo's direction it would be great to see you apply your knowledge to showing off the changes. There seems to be a lot of 1E & 2E content, but still pretty sporadic on the remastered stuff. Regardless it really seems like 2023 was a transformative year for you. I am praying that 2024 will be better for you. As one of the nameless, faceless commenters out here, thanks for all your doing. We miss you when you're not uploading videos!

I'm looking forward to what you create. I was a late-comer to the channel as I only started running Pathfinder fully last year and in a search for folks who could explain things in a more digestible format you were top of the list. I hope 2024 brings you a lot of creative joy, and allows you to join up with others and collaborate. I also hope your 2024 isn't as bad as 2023 was for you. To say that I can relate is a bit of an understatement. My father passed away in January (coming up on the year anniversary) and I cannot agree more that it really makes you grow not just as a person, but an adult. I've been on this planet over 40 years now and I'd say I've done more personal growth in this last year than I have at any other time in my life. But seeing you being just as enthusiastic about the road ahead as I've become made me smile. Here's to those paths ahead of you. There will be bumps, but I bet the journey will be amazing despite, or even because of them.

I'd also gotten rather bored with the "regurgitate the book" content, so I'm excited to see where this channel goes next. Personally, I'm intensely interested in developments with the upcoming Daggerheart and Stormlight Archive RPGs, and I think you may be well-positioned to talk about them as details of their mechanics become known, in a way straight up TTRPG news channels are not. There's also the PF2 Remaster Player Core 2 on the horizon of course.

I thought my 2023 was rough; from my D&D group breaking up in January, to getting a catheter in March which i have had to live with since, having had move out of my apartment for 4 days so that a contracting company remodel my place and do minimal work and leave a mess in may, having my support worker quit her job and getting new brand new support workers from a new place in November, and finding out that my uncle was in the hosptial the very last week of December. However, listening to your intro made me realize that as problematic as this past year was for me, it's still not as bad as other people have had. I feel for you, man; really feel for you, and i hope 2024 is better to ya.

Good luck in 2024! I like you had a challenging 20203 but realize that my core family is healthy now and the outlook for 2024 looks better than 2023. What drove me to your channel? Well someone who is passionate about Pathfinder 2, which I was learning. Personally I somewhat care about what is going on in the TTRPG scene but in my opinion there are a lot of other channels that do that and you will be similar to those. Not to say I wouldn't do that, but I would focus on what makes your take unique. Another or possibility would be to do quick reviews for other systems as well. I am not sure how well those will get views but say you did some news about Shadowrun, then did a 100 level video about the game, and your thoughts on it from a new player perspective. This obviously would be a ton of work from your part but it would be interesting for those that want to try a new game that might also be in the news at this time. Yes there are people that play board games on video, and some are incredibly scripted and produced, but few do TTRPGs or do them well. Even if you didn't play the game, just talking about the universe, general rules and your thoughts would be interesting. God has been pretty good to me and I have been able to go to GenCon and play many different TTRPGs over the last 10+ years and there are some cool ones out there that are radically different than say D&D/Pathfinder. So in short my idea is something like this. You see that some TTRPG company made some news, like perhaps a new game Death Bringer or something like it. You discuss it and then do a quick overview and what you find interesting about it. Then move on. If you find that say tons of people for some reason loved a specific video, you could do a deeper dive in to that system. Oh and lastly, my goal for this year 2024 is to come to GenCon in significantly better shape. I let myself go a lot over the last few years and this is the year that changes. I hope to see you there and for me to be at least 20 pounds lighter!

Some ideas you can do for the new content ideas: •Remastered class thoughts (Like OG Wizard vs New Wizard, what you like more and what you like less) •Character Builds (maybe one for each class, just for fun) Away from Pathfinder •System reviews (like you have done some of already) •Tierlists of Systems (Based on what you already like/dislike) •Video game content (this is a huge umbrella) •Collabs for exploring new content (Like Badluckgamer with Lancer) •Maybe even random creative content Away from these topics. You will likely see a drop in views and subs at first. That comes with a pivot like this. But you will retain loyal fans who still like your content, gain new ones who like the new stuff, and be able to grow from there. I came for Pathfinder, I'm unsure if I will stick around myself (will have to see if the content is what I enjoy), but even if I do not, many will. I'm happy for you, NoNat. Do what makes you happy: life is too short to make yourself miserable. This shift is the right thing to do.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on Pathfinder for Savage Worlds. I GM’d a campaign for PF2e for about 6 months over Foundry and just found it to be too rules-heavy for me. I’m not new to ttrpgs either. Started with Redbox D&D in the 80s, continuing through AD&D, Shadowrun (1st, 2nd, 3rd), GURPS, Hero System, and many others. The issues I found for me (and maybe it’s just my group) is that it basically ran so slowly in combat, I could only really design a single encounter for the night (4 hour session). And that story and roleplaying became so secondary because they rarely got time to shine. And my prep for the game, even for a single encounter, was spent on just deciding on building one encounter for the night. That’s all I had time for because of trying to find the right balance against the PCs and the amount of rule-red-tape I had to wade through. I’m sure it would get better as game knowledge improves, but I wasn’t having enough fun to make me interested in gaining system mastery. So back to Savage Pathfinder-I’m able to continue the campaign in a system that I feels accomplishes what I want: fast running game with tons of customization for the PCs. I could run it with zero prep if need be, but can actually design a full session/adventure because I don’t need to focus so much on the encounters, but rather the story surrounding the encounters. But it would be interesting to get your take on how Pathfinder translates into Savage Worlds.

Step 1, @Nonat1s is to take care of yourself, so you can take care of those around you. Step 2 is the job that pays the bills. Step 3 is the channel. And going for a more "wide base" coverage, with the vast variety of games out there, will allow you to find a lot of fun you might have missed. I own in print over 85 RPGs, and in PDF well over 350, and being able to pull ideas from that wide swath of options has improved ALL my games. Good luck out there, and welcome to the greater world.

For recommendations, if you're thinking of looking into games like Rogue Trader, I'd think a video on Imperium Maledictum could be a good idea if you decide you like the Warhammer 40k stuff. It's a newer (Just released last year I believe) system that covers a wide variety of types of characters you can play, one of them even being someone under a Rogue Trader (So it could tie in decently easily to that game's video). I know a few of my friends have been warhammer fans for a while and are excited to start up a new game in that system soon, and could be fun to see a video on that if you go down the route of exploring some Warhammer TTRPGs

The whole OGL debacle made me tune out of TTRPG content in youtube for the most part and unfortunately has burnt me out from trying other TTRPGS for the most past as well because it had gotten to the point where people are told they **should** play this ttrpg rather than promoting what makes this ttrpg actually fun in its own right, especially if the pitch used is around the lines of 'this is better than 5e' which i'll be blunt is the same pitch to promote OSRs and even pf2e. There are still systems id genuinely like to try out like Fabula Ultima, Basic Fantasy and Castles & Crusades as there is something i can actually behind that is fun but i wont play stuff shadowdark, tales of the valiant, DCC or even pf2e. Lets hope 2024 is better for all of us. I would love to check out more TTRPG content on youtube without hearing more jabs on WOTC/5e (and no im not a fan of the company rather neutral as its just corpos being corpos, but i love 5e and no im not gonna switch immediately to the newer version as i seem to be a late adopter). Im also down for more genuinely fun and silly TTRPG topics like 'what if build a party of four but each character uses a different ttrpg system?' Or 'What if we build an adventure using only ttrpg generative tools?'

It doesn't drum up as much news but I would also like to see coverage on some other systems. Modiphius and Free League jump to mind but there are plenty of other folks quietly puttin gout great content that doesn't get covered very often imo.

Hope you're right, and there won't be a lot of flanking attacks, but 'The Universe' doesn't care about any of us, either way. There's quite a lot of it, most of which isn't suitable to like. Guess we'll just have to hope that our little Island Earth isn't hit by a meteor so huge that "Rocks fall, everyone dies." becomes more than a meme about a burnt-out GM.

I pray things go much better for you in 2024. My channel is much smaller than yours, but if you're interested in collabing on one of our Around the Hearth chats then we'd love to have you. 😁👍 ~ Adam

that's cool. I enjoyed your channel, but Pathfinder just isn't a game for my group. (Sadly they insist I DM 5th Ed.) But I do enjoy your material, so I might watch more of your stuff if you do more than just Pathfinder. For instance I love Traveller and Deadlands. (I wish there was a 5e version of either so I could get my players to try the settings) But yeah, also BG3 and WH40k Rogue Trader were both amazing games. BG3 clearly GotY at the dismay of the usual AAA titles. Which is why yeah, TTRPG video games and other game systems have much goodness to offer a channel like yours.

Nonat, I am so sorry but, you should brace yourself for 2024. It's going to be a rough year. I'm not saying that you can't try and make it better but you can't do that unless you are ready to weather an absolute disaster.

If you looking to mixed it up a noch. Why not revisit some of interesting other RPGs. Reviews, sometimes things like "City of Mist". I would love to see some more outtakes on things that are out there in the RPG world.
