Hoping for a new Planet Ocean, 42mm, thinner, less shiny and lighter. Doubtful though and as you say Omega seem to have lost their way in the last few years. Shame.

Omega better up their game this year because it feels like they’ve been out of the loop for a few years. I predict a big downturn In sales across the board this year with the ridiculous prices and watch crime continuing to put people off buying and wearing something worth so much and so easy to steal.

IMHO, after the 2024 Olympics, Omega watches needs a game changer, beginning with a full updated history in their " A Journey Through Time " reference book ! 🤔 So far the sleuthing has been done by volunteer aficionados, bringing out "Moonwatch Only " and in 2024 we'll see " Seamaster Only " reference book as well ! 🧐

And as you mentioned I would like that when watch manufacturers announce new products that these or exhibition / demo ones to see and try be available at the Boutiques and AD within a week or two of their launch. The present delays between launch and availability to see / try are unacceptable across the board as by the times the new models reach the Boutiques / AD the curiosity, the potential interest has often waned completely as if it had been a sort of attrition. Watch manufacturers ought to integrate that all their products are non essential nice to have hence their products bringing to market must be a much better, smoother experience to the consumers.

I agree! I love the omega seamaster. The black and Sedna gold is an almost perfect watch for me. Beauty and practicality all in one. And yes the summer blue versions should have an open case back too 😂

I would be happy if Rolex would go to and offer after purchase, articulated end links. I would purchase a set for my DJ and might have kept my Sub as I have small wrists.

I hope a new Milgauss will be announced. I'd also love to see a re-issue of the classic Seamaster 300 165.024.

Best Wishes for 2024 ! With regards to Omega, they have started making some calibres in titanium so I would love to see a Seamaster 300M Professional in titanium with a titanium calibre which would also incorporate the SpiRate and be thinner and lighter than the NTTD which I have. Having tried titanium with the NTTD I wonder if I’ll buy a steel watch ever again as I really enjoy the lighter weight and metal construction of course. Rolex may further embark on the titanium bandwagon with Sea Dweller, Submariner, Daytona, DateJust, Oyster Perpetual, AirKing, etc… made of this material to exacerbate their sportiness. Why not ? Other than that, since I bought my JLC Memovox Tribute to Polaris 1968 in 2008 which is mesmerizing, I dont know which JLC I may buy next, perhaps a Reverso, one day… even though it would be steel… 🤔

@Yorkiepoocharlie Corporate message is that JLC did not increase their prices during the pandemic and they want to be perceived as a higher status brand, better aligned with other top end brands. Rep kept comparing JLC prices to Patek's. I laughed a bit.

the old bracelet on the speedmaster is better imho but i guess that they put a massive taper on it because so many you tuber watch channels kept criticizing the lack of taper , i tried one of the new style speedmasters on and the clasp look more like it should be on a ladies watch

I think some like a thick and wide bracelet but I guess most people prefer a less massive bracelet. Smaller watches are becoming more popular, just look at Cartier, men’s watches with a width of less than 30mm.

Here’s my prediction. There’s a huge price gap between the two-toned DJ and DD in Rolex lineup. They can remedy that with full precious metal DJ models.

A used bargain. I quite like some of the military styles. Probably avoid buying at retail.

TUDOR Titanium FXD with day-date windows 3 o'clock in white with text in black. Dial in blue or black.

Id love to see the bullet style bracelet on the 41mm Aquaterra. I don't care about quick adjust.

I'm hoping to see an IWC Big Pilot 43 in a titanium case with heritage lume (Type A B-Uhr dial), and a Tudor Black Bay Pro GMT with a white dial. I think JLC has really lost the plot with their skyrocketing pricing while their popularity is mediocre. IWC and Omega have also had some ludicrously priced releases that have alienated long term fans of the brand. Adding $10k for an experimental case material is a solution in search of a problem. Seems like some of these companies are pursuing an "Emperor Has No Clothes" strategy with some of their releases, to determine just how gullible some of their customers are and how much they are willing to pay for perceived exclusivity and improvements of little to no aesthetic or practical value.

I think people sell exhibition case back for your Speedy.

I have to say that you are the only KZreadr who has had a negative reaction to the new Speedmaster bracelet, it is night and day a better bracelet than earlier models.

I suspect more youtubers recycling the same Rolex BS as they chase clicks or because they are scared to go against the bought and paid for Rolex hype.

Am I the only person who is tired of hearing about the 'accuracy of the movement'? I THINK that I am amongst the 95% who buy a watch for 1. The name on the dial 2. How the watch looks. That is just the truth. Why do Rolex sell far more watches than any other brand? Because their watches keep better time? No, of course not. To be frank, I could not care less how accurate my watch is, within certain parameters. If I want precise time I will glance at my phone, or just buy a £50 quartz watch. So none of us buy these ridiculously expensive watches for the accuracy of their movements. Come on... Let's discuss: why did you buy the last watch you bought? Be honest. Complete honesty; no watch bullshit.

Accuracy is a sign of quality and stability of the movement. Rolex watches are not just accurate but accurate under stressful situations. Some watches may be accurate in normal condition but may be unstable in high altitude, underwater or in freezing or hot temperature. Rolex brand name is acquired by reputation over the years so, it is not wrong to respect the brand name if it is earned.

Brand, how it wears, case material. I like the Omega rating for gaus, not sure how to spell, but it's protection against magnets which is useful in day to day life. The fact that you are wearing obsolete technology, often that costs the same as a second hand car, is a flex, even if just for yourself. It's jewelry for men( 99% of this audience are men)

The quality is much more than the looks and the name on the dial. Honestly I think most people are capable of judging these things and that’s why Rolex among others is highly regarded, NOT because of only design and the brand…
