First impressions of the all new 2024 Volkswagen Passat eHybrid
Welcome to Damn Fast! In this video we take you on a first impressions tour of the All new 2024 Volkswagen Passat. This Passat is not any passat, but a special eHybrid (formerly known as the GTE), meaning it has a hybrid powertrain with a 1.5 L TSI EVO engine combined with an electric motor and a lithium ion battery pack. Because of its sheer size, the Passat eHybrid doesnt have any small battery, but a full size 19,7kWh pack, providing 100km of full electric range! The Passat eHybrid is available with two power options, 204HP or 272HP, nice!
The new Passat
The all new Passat has a completely new design and emphasizes efficiency and function. The Passat eHybrid therefore has a drag coefficient of only 0,25 instead of the previous 0,31. One reason is the aerodynamically shaped wheels with closed covers as you can see in the video. Prices start around 49.000 euro for the Passat 1.5 eTSI (Mild Hybrid) and up to around 57.000 euro for the top spec R-Line Business eHybrid version. Great value for money!
