Keep your receipts, document your service mileage. If you come up on a warranty item, you'll need to demonstrate that you have done the required maintenance.

​@KenWoods question so my bike is 4 months odd but hasn't hit 1000km yet should I wait for the service light to come on at 1000km or do I have to do it based on time instead I think manual service 1 month or 1000km whichever comes first just don't want to void warranty due to time

@FunWithAJ I would recommend (based on conversations with my dealer) that your 1st service be done within 6 months or 1,000kms.
