I have a paid off 22 Tacoma 4X4 with only 10850 miles, if I was to buy a new midsized truck today Frontier would be a no brainier for me. That naturally aspirated V6 with 310 HP . I personally don't want to deal with a turbo.

Seems about $10,000 overpriced. Good looking truck though but no thanks.

My dealer currently has 6 ZR2's for 49K and 4 at 51K. All have front lockers and a better multimatic suspension. Try 16K over priced.

My first house was $79,000. 😅😂

almost 70K for a midsize is insane. There's basically no backseat either. Leg room in the new tacos was already trash but this is even worse with all that stuff on the back of the seats. I would say Toyota is out of their mind but obviously nuts are still buying them

Sticker on my 23 tundra TRD pro was 68,900. Plus the Tacoma is a two person vehicle. Had a 2014 Tacoma and the backseats are for dogs and children.

The Ranger Raptor is almost $10,000 less ! 😊😳

Do your research. Tacomas are not made in Mexico. They are assembled in Mexico. They have been for years. I have two Tacomas. 19 and 23. Both 3 generation both ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO No problems. I agree over priced, poor quality control. Out of my price range.

It’ll be back , in the shop in a few miles. Beautiful truck. No way in hell that truck is worth $70k after financing for 48 months.your paying an assload!

Yeah that's 7K just for the sales tax. That would be the same price point as a fully loaded Chevy Silverado ZR2 with the 6.2 litre V8. Start thinking about what 80 grand buys. That's just crazy.

Kenny you and I own the exact same truck along with colour. I paid $2000 under msrp.$62000 Canadian. That’s about 45,500 US. Friends laughed at me because I flew from Toronto to Ottawa to find it and buy it. Who’s laughing now!? 😂

Toyota should let those seats on the pro be an option. I was thinking a small family with a newborn can allow this truck for about 3-4 years old but you can’t even fit child seats back there.

Why? Its literally priced 17K more then a ZR 2 or 10K more then a Ranger raptor. Both of which have front lockers. The MSRP has a built in ADM. The dealers know better then to infuriate buyers by adding an additional ADM to what is already insanely over priced.

If you can burn 74k on a Tacoma you’re either terrible with money management, or have serous F U money 😂 People with this buying power probably live in California or New York where cost of living is reflected with higher income averages than most everywhere else.

Yeah you almost need generational wealth to not care. Like you say F U money. The guy who makes over 200K/year on inherited wealth and never worked for that in the first place. That is the target audience. Because even those that are self made, and have means generally don't throw money away on crap like this. That is, the reason they have money because they don't make foolish investments. And spending this much on a big ass depreciating asset is the worst investment imaginable. My accountant owns a 6K Square foot house on a private golf course. One of the nicest in Albuquerque. She drives a 12 year old Cadillac and her husband has a 20 year old ranger. Its all about making money with those two and cars/trucks are poor performers lol.

@@HiPlains1 I’m not sure at 70k a year you can have 1 million in cash on standby. 😳 He’d struggle keeping up with the property tax and energy bills on a million dollar house with 70 K. He’s only netting about 50k after taxes. I usually pay cash for my cars as well, keeps me from overspending.

It's almost like Toyota has dealers up charging $10k and said, "hey..."

You might be right. Before the dealers liked to add ADM's and the corporation used to frown on that. Or at least pretended to not like the practice with all the PR mumbo jumbo they used to tell the public. By raising the MSRP's 15K they pretty much fixed that problem. Most these tacos don't have ADM's anymore. Toyota fixed that problem lol.

Youd be a great salesman. Apply at that dealership lol

nice looking truck, but why piano gloss black on the fenders? That's gonna be a scratched up mess in a couple years.... almost requires PPF on day one. Price is silly.

Worst value by far. Ranger Raptor at 56K or a Colorado ZR2 for under 50K will offroad better. And both those have Front lockers. The TRD does not even offer that. You can't be serious. Tell me that is sarcasm.

Its not just the price either. First time in my life I saw a brand new Tundra being put on a flat bed tow truck. It was like seeing a spacecraft get loaded...never in 20 years have I seen a Tundra on a tow truck so of course I had to stop. Poor guy was besides himself and his wife or gf was doing everything she could to chill him out. He dropped so many F bombs on Toyota even my ears were burning. He said the engine was F'd. Not that he would know but he seemed sure it cratered. Then seeing the Toyota engineer telling folks that they de-tuned the manual Tacomas because if someone revved up and drops the clutch, they can blow the weak ass transmissions. I was like...holeeeeee shit. WTF Toyota!? Whatever you do, if you have a new Tacoma, don't pull a boat up a steep grade, you might regret it.

I'm sure he drove allot of MT's in his time and I've never heard anyone ever doing that. I drove MT for 20 years and its inconceivable to me that somebody could do that.

Yota must think buyers are dumb as rocks. Maybe they are right. Somebody bought this one. They must literally be cracking up lol. Or have serious inherited wealth where they don't value money at all. Because even self made people will pass on this as its such a horrible investment.

Coming in at 85k Cdn$ these are way overpriced. The S/O is nicer colour too. I followed a ‘23 S/O Tundra Pro home today with my ‘23 S/O Pro Tacoma. They both looked awesome rolling down the highway together. The ‘23 S/O Tundra Pro would have been a way better choice than an overpriced ‘24 Tacoma Pro IMO. The ‘23 Pro Tundras were to be had for 90k Cdn$. All in all I’m very happy with my ‘23 Taco Pro manual. I paid 59k Cdn$ for it.

A day later and they still haven’t washed it but that’s probably a 3 grand dealer add-on.

A friend of mine works at dealership here in Houston that just got one, asking 20k over sticker. What a scam, sad thing though is someone will probably pay it.

Beautiful truck but I will keep my 3rd gen tacoma in midnight black metallic access cab for a long time!

What’s sad is whoever bought it probably paid 75k 😂

WEST COAST TACO in here on KZread test drove a black one in Temecula Calif. Westcott Designs added goods takes it to 83k.

Toyota just lost a lot of customers with not only these crazy high prices, but no longer the naturally aspirated V6 engines. Double whammy for them. IF i had to buy a new pick up, now it would be a the Nissan Frontier, still reliable, CHEAPER and has the aspirated engine.
