Please do a Raptor and this Hilux GRS comparison video just like the Ranger Wildtrak vs previous Hilux GRS that you guys did months ago.

before this actual's car arrival there were already these kinds of kits in Evangelista and Banawe. Turning Hilux J and G to almost same, at least aesthetically. in essence, the metal body is same.. just all plastic claddings and mouldings. so it is a no for me. The only thing I crave from the GRS is the rear aircon vents. And i don't understand why on a 1.9m conquest they can't give a vent at the back..

Well to be fair, this GR Sport has a new OE GR high performance suspension. So perhaps that explains the more comfortable ride. They actually did a review of the hilux conquest in their previous videos and I'm pretty sure the boys from Top Gear PH knows what they're talking about.

@@Steegampoota not at all, they actually hated the Hilux's bumpy ride when they compared it to the Dmax and Navarra. And just a few months ago they also compared the previous Hilux GR to the Ranger Wildtrak. According to them the Wildtrak was the better truck overall.

This Hilux GR Sport deserves to have AT LEAST a stock 33" tires (the stock Ranger Raptor had a 32.7")! That would fit perfectly with its oversized fender flares!

The interior is just Jurassic tbh. Improved suspension, but with the looks of it, it dips and swings allover the place and whats with that overfender? Was hoping this to be a real contender to the Ford Raptor, atleast they got the engine segment.

it's time for Mitsubishi to have their own to battle out against the GRS and Raptor. too bad.. they thought stickers would cut it

Tapos may mag sasabi pa na all aesthetic lg daw. New GR suspension at may shocks na yung likod, Disk brakes on all fours, 224 Hp at 550 nm torque. Power figures is really close sa lc200 v8 diesel ph spec na 232 hp at 615 nm torque.

There's something about the exterior that makes the design looks out of proportion. The front looks nice though but other angles it's weird

@@refaFRATzit This one. Just a quick glance at the doors on this vs. the Ranger Raptor (or even the Ranger in general) and you can tell the Hilux looks bland and flat. In this white color, with the blacked-out door handles and mirror caps it even looks like a base Hilux J that had just been kitted up. Seriously, this front end will look good on a Hilux Conquest body than on this.

Top Gear Philippines: "I wouldn't even call it a truck anymore..." Hilux: "I identify as a TRUCK."

This Hilux is a bummer IMO. They facelifted it, they tuned the engine (not a new one btw which was wrongly described here), with a slightly better KYB tuned suspension. Its a Hilux GRS with a better tuning. Period. Let’s be honest Toyota people, while it looks good (aside that it skipped leg day), this is charging too much money for the same thing, almost. We deserve better!

@@techietomathe reliability card comes in handy when talking about a “better” vehicle but let’s be honest, I own a Toyota as well and it’s disappointing how they take so much money for getting less. Topgear nailed the toyota fanboy of the year review in this video, acting surprised and ecstatic about the same old thing. I hope the next fortuner won’t be a disappointment like this one. Hoping to have one in the future if they make an “all-new” one, not a facelifted “all new”.

@@refaFRATzit majority of our cars in the family are Toyota's, except hilux. I was thinking about buying a hilux next year, already test drove one too from the casa. But now I'm having doubts because new gen Mitsu Strada is coming and i kinda like it's specs.

Do you have an idea what's the wheel size and offset et number ??

Your review would be more informative if you provided actual details other than using 'new and improved' for the several upgrades. What is the suspension? Ranger uses Fox suspension. It isn't wider because of the tread, it's because of the Axel and chassis, but using spacers. Why is it more powerful? Bigger injectors? Stats you gave all came from a google search.

@@hermanojhey in my opinion the new Hilux GR is not worth the price increase. Still the same average interior as my 2016 Hilux. You could do better aftermarket mods for less, with a much better setup. Also Toyota will announce the all new Hilux in 2024. Toyota only change the Hilux and Prado every 10 years

How do these cars compare? “The ultimate raptor competitor” is a Hilux with a chip, suspension & bodykit vs independent fox bypass racing shocks, 10speed, V6 petrol, with even all the interiors feature and exhaust values… seriously!

It will look good on a larger and different set of wheels, and with the GR-S in black? Much better. The white paintjob on this demo really gives off a kitted-up base Hilux J variant 😅
