One of the toughest and most dependable workhorses for any duty is the Toyota Hilux, a pickup truck that is well-known worldwide. The Hilux has received a lot of recognition for its reliability since 1968. In comparison to the previous generation, the Philippine version has better appearance and more potent engine options. The midsize truck is currently one of, if not the best-selling vehicle in the nation.
Finally, a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission may be used with either of the two engines. Toyota Philippines updated the suspension of the pickup truck for its exclusive GR Sport model, adding new dampers and monotube shock absorbers.
The iconic pickup truck, the Toyota Hilux, kept evolving and gradually more upscale as it added more amenities. The seventh generation Hilux, which debuted in 2004, marked the vehicle's greatest evolutionary leap. This was the first version of the Japanese automaker's pickup for the twenty-first century, and it was also the first to be constructed using Toyota's new Innovative Multi-purpose Vehicle design. It had newer, more aerodynamic bodywork, more safety, roomier cabin, more comfortable riding, and D-4D diesel engines.

Power is delivered on demand by the agile turbo-diesel engine of the Toyota Hilux. Acceleration is combined with accurate handling and tight steering for the city. The mild steering makes navigating around tight turns at low speeds pleasant and secure. When compared to the G type, the premium Conquest 4x4 AT variant offers noticeably more comfortable riding.
When traveling at 90 km/h on the highway, the Hilux Conquest 2.8 DSL 4x4 AT's fuel efficiency equals 15 km/L. Though marginally poorer, it is rather comparable to the 2.4-liter engine. In testing, we used 8.35 liters of petrol per 100 kilometers combined for the top-of-the-line model.
The updated infotainment system on this updated Toyota Hilux model now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The G and E trims of the vehicle have a 6.75-inch screen, while the Conquest variation has a bigger 8-inch display. Only the Conquest, G, and E trims are eligible for the aforementioned function. The audio controls placed on the steering wheel may also be used to operate the screen for increased convenience. A 6-speaker audio system is included with all variations, however only the E trim level has 4-speakers. Additionally, all trims-aside from the E variant-come with automated temperature control.
In contrast, multi-reflector halogen headlights are standard on Hilux models that are not Conquest models. Depending on the version you choose, a new set of wheels is also offered. Conquest models have additional tough reinforcements in the form of blacked-out wheels, unique decals, and redesigned fender flares. There are eight color options available for the Hilux, with the optional Emotional Red costing an additional P20,000.
Similar to other Toyota cars that share the same platform, the Hilux's interior features a good dose of dimensionality. But there are other, more understated stylistic cues that help identify it as a Hilux.
Even in the most basic model, airbags are a standard component of the safe Toyota Hilux. Standard airbags include those for the driver and passenger, but upgrading to a higher specification level adds two front airbags and a multitude of side and curtain airbags for a total of seven airbags to protect the user. Stability control, speed-sensing door locks, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, and braking assist are among the additional safety features that the Hilux may have.
