2024 Tacoma MPG Test On 37’s…

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I drove 25.4 miles combing city and freeway and burned 1.5 gallons of gas equating to 16.9 Mpg
Next test was all highway so I drove 44 actual miles burning 1.5 gallons of gas bringing it to 29.3 Mpg traveling at 65 mph for basically the entire time.
Not too shabby

    That truck has been put in reverse more times in one day than a 20-year-old Tacoma has its whole lifetime, big flex. 😂

    Awesome...Thinking of getting a TRD PRO when they come out...worried about the reliability though. Have you thought about any green colors for a wrap? As a huge Toyota fan and owner of 3 of them I follow your videos closely. Keep up the great work!

    My vote is for a two tone wrap with black on top similar to the trd pro. Great video, mpg drop is not that bad at all. Next we can see what the lift does to those numbers

    Great video Mark. I'm glad you used actual miles and added the impact of rotational mass when doing city miles. I read in the manual that larger tires could make the TSS go apeshit (radar and such it uses is calibrated for a certain tolerance for height and speed, I assume). Didnt look like yours had any issues with the 37s. I'm curious if the lift will cause TSS malfunctions. Let us know how that goes. 👍

    Don’t know why I watched this, I’ll never put 37s on my TRD, I guess just looking at ur pretty truck. Love Underground but I couldn’t find any ORs w equipment I want in any dealers inventory so I grabbed a white one that should be delivered in a couple weeks. Also heard of some dealer markups of $10k in NV and CA but luckily I didn’t c that here in Utah. Interesting testing tho, thanks.

    why would you put 37 without lift? anyway tacoma dont look good on 37 , the best way to add bigger tires is to add as much as you can without a lift, thats the way to go, but not this way when it rub with everything, what if you have a emergency on the road and need to turn steering wheel all the way? thats some hazard for everyone else on the road. those tires could get stuck on the fenders and cause an accident idk man

    Can you take the fender liner off already and show us if it hits cab mounts, firewall, and etc. that way we can see the more serious issues with fittings this tire.

  • @DevisedElite
    @DevisedElite4 ай бұрын

    I appreciate the info and think those tires look great on the truck. But I definitely wouldn't have gone past test fitting and taken it on road without a proper lift. The last video was ok, but I don't think you should have taken it into traffic. Not only are you destroying your fender liners on your new truck, but it's a huge safety hazard for you and everyone else on the road without having full maneuverability.

    Agreed, imagine needing to swerve or turn your way out of any potential danger to avoid a pedestrian or other vehicles. Need that full maneuverability at drivers will to keep yourself and others safe. I wouldn’t attempt another test/ride like that. But I do think 35s with a lift is the ideal setup for the new Tacoma.
