I always enjoy your “real world” riding reviews 👍. I know it’s a worn out cliché, but your are right because “Torque moves motorcycles down the road, horsepower numbers usually just moves motorcycles off the showroom floor.” Unless you are spending a lot of time on track days, rarely are you spinning the engine at maximum horsepower speeds, but with useable mid rpm torque, you’ll use it every day. And with 50 years of riding experience I concur that the most useable engines for the road fall in the 600 to 900 cc range. (Although I haven’t always taken my own advice 😉.)
I’ve got the 8s, I’m 6ft and fits me perfect, just clocked 3500 miles and still grinning every time I get off it. Had the 800RE for short while on loan and that was really comfortable. Suzuki could have a winning platform here. Love to try the 8R.
IF I bought one, I'd do my usual thing and replace front and rear sprockets straight off (UP 1 tooth front + DOWN 2 teeth rear), this would help engine relax at higher cruising speeds, and, help with economy. (It CERTAINLY helped on my last bike - Suzuki RF900R as it unfortunately only had a 5 speed box)... But... Such a HIGHLY UNDERRATED BIKE! Spicey, IF you can find one in good nick, RIDE IT, it would be interesting to see what you think! It could also be an 'Old world V New world comparison' theme to your channel too! 🤔👍😏 😎🇬🇧
Blimey, never this early!
Great review! I've just got my first bike, Z650, already adding this as a possible replacement in a few years haha! I don't want to brag but my bike has enough room for a whole ham sandwich.
Great review 😊
Great review, Great looking bike and sounded amazing. Suzuki really hitting it out the park with their bikes 🤩
Evotech UK makes a beautiful tail tidy for the 8S/8R. Quality products for a quality bike. Thanks Spicy 🤙
ride safe buddy 💙💙💙

I haven't seen a Spicy vid pop up for ages. Weird how KZread does things.
Great review! QS on my 8S between 1st and 2nd started out a bit like that but over time either it’s got smoother or I have or both so all good!
Top review as always spicy

Much appreciated
I test ride that exact bike the other week, I now have one on order, it’s a great bike for everyday use.
Great review I was looking at this bike after over 30 years of not owning or being on a bike ,I agree the tank colour is a bit weird ,not a huge fan of the rear end tail system although the shop did have a demo in with a tail tidy set up .Went with a ninja 650 in the end as a mint condition low mileage 2022 krt edition came in and I’m very happy with it .strangely this 8r looks stunning in bright yellow but that colour is not an option for the uk .

Ironic - I have 2023 Ninja 650 KRT edition and have been hesitant to let it go for an 8R. Kawi does a real good job with style and the Ninja 650 has some punch, it's a fun bike, light weight and good gas mileage. I still enjoy it and was impressed after two test rides on the 8R.
Did as you requested from the previous upload.. hit the like, watched allllllll the way through.. So, that's a handshake Or half a ham sandwich you owe me... lol!!. Hopefully the curse is lifted!!

Awesome! Thank you!
Great video 😊 you should have mic failures more often 😅
Excellent review! Have considered trading my Ninja 650 KRT edition for this 8R but hesitant.
So this is the cursed review. Bike looks good, nice shade of blue, and that short back end with a tidy, will look rather tasty.

Yep, this was the one! Worth it in the end and maybe better for it.
Great video and will help sell this already popular bike. It’s a bit of a Goldilocks bike and a great first “big” bike to goon around and develop your skills before inevitably upgrading like we all do…
So if i had a gsx s750 and its time to upgrade. This and the gsx s1000 are 2 options. Mt09 is the other one on the table. How would you compare this to the gsxs1000
So you would get the vstrom re?
I dont have a bike yet, saving up. After a week of work my brain goes to "yea just get a scooter, its so easy". But then I watch a random video of someone on a crotch rocket... just one small twist of a wrist, and my brain goes - "Yea fuck the scooter, I want that feeling." I have been flopping back and forth like this for months.
🔥🔥👍👍
What camera's are you using? Videos look really good!

Gopro hero 9 is attached to my fave and a insta360 onex2 on the bike.
I have a 2006 sv pointy and yes it is a bit reminiscent around the fairings. Hope the OEM suspension is better...! 😂

Glad it's not just me that sees it. 🙂
i know you reviewed the scrambler xe but is there any chance of the scrambler 900 in review form? They've shot up in popularity and I think ass you say about the gsx8r its a nice bike to have restricted for a2 and those who don't wanna live the helmet toker lifestyle zooming down residential roads.
Please test ride a Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello and let us know what you think?
