There's no way this offensive line allows only 25 sacks even if they all stayed healthy. Last year 31 of 32 teams allowed more than that. So you're either assuming that there are guys that you didn't cover (Anthony Bradford) that are going to contribute to the total or you're assuming this group will be the second best pass protecting line in the NFL. Having said that, if Grubb really can implement an offense that is first-read, second-read, get the ball out, it should help keep the sacks down. Who knows - maybe that's why they thought Grubb would be the perfect OC for us.

@upoceo I'm Pretty sure that pff has a lot of sacks allowed not attributed to any one blocker

@@SeahawksBrendonNelson That's a fair point. I'm just really down on our o-line for both run and pass blocking. Cross should take a step forward. Lucas is really an unknown because of the injury. Olu is an unknown as he should have beat out Evan Brown last year. Christian Haynes as a 3rd round rookie is probably equal to 4th round Anthony Bradford with a year of NFL experience under his belt. And Tomlinson is a definite step down from in-his-prime Damien Lewis (who is average).

@@upoceo Haynes is considered one of the top two or three pure G coming out….probably our third best OL already……your analogy doesn’t work…..

Bradford will start. Tomlinson is insurance and a vet who likely begins the season as the starter, but Haynes will overtake him eventually. I think between Olu and Harris, either should be an upgrade over Evan Brown. If they stay healthy, this unit should be at least equal to the 2022 unit with Geno at quarterback and most of the same surrounding cast that was a top 12 offense. But even if there are some games missed, George Fant also is an insurance policy if Abraham Lucas struggles to get healthy and return to his rookie form. Even with the loss of Damien Lewis this o-line group is deeper and more talented over all than last year's. Cross, Bradford, Haynes, and Olu are all risers who have not yet reached full potential. Lucas might make it back and improve as well. The depth of veterans Tomlinson and Fant is something Seattle did not have last year and why I feel the unit is stronger over all.

@@brianmyers4444 Maybe, but the farther down the draft you go, the more of a crap shoot it is, and I would have thought that Haynes would have started on the depth chart ahead of McClendon Curtis. Oluwatimi won an award for being the best center in last year's class, but the coaches thought it would take him a year to be a better option than Evan Brown. Maybe Haynes takes a year too? We're all just guessing at this point.

If nothing else it looks like we have a solid talent pool at interior o-line. Most years we have par or subpar starters in camp and competition for backup spots. This year we have solid competition for starter spots as opposed to Ethan Pocic and a bunch of guys dredged up from the league's taxi squad slag heap. If the rest of the line rounds into form Tomlinson should be ok

There's a chance cross will be the ONLY offensive lineman to return. Add all new coordinators, new position coaches, and rookies starting. It might take 10 games to gel. If the TE's take 6-8 games to Gel. It's going to be a 8 win season.

Fant can be used as a 3rd te 😅 but I still think John is going to make some more moves to bolster the oline and hey 12 days and camp opens wooooooo 😂

Just one comment, I believe Pharaoh Brown comes with a great reputation as a blocker was it only passing or did his run blocking not make an impression with you?
